Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. You need to make sure you don't have a frozen pulley. The belt may be causing the smoke you are seeing. It may be coming from the motor drive. None the less, it needs checked out.

The belt is replaced by loosening the tensioner.

COUPLING BETWEEN MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION IS SHEARED AND NEEDS REPLACED.

Common problem if drain tube goes to laundry tub. Tub drain is slow, so water is siphoned back into washer at end of cycle.
Other solutions: Partial blockage of drain tube before or at water pump. Take off front washer panel, exposing pump and disconnect hoses. Remove obstructions and re-assemble.

I have seen clothes get between the inner and outer tub and restrict movement during spin and wash. This will require removing the outside case, call a service tech on this one.

remove the heater which is held by 1 19mm nut in the centre and prize out carefully with a screwdriver. you can then see the gap between the drum and the tub and fish out whatever is in there. a common problem
