This is my third one, there is a short in the earphone jack. This is the biggest setback. I bought my first one at amazon, and it took 6 months to break. My last one I bought two weeks ago, and i just sent it back Friday for the same issue.

Try them in another device to eliminate a faulty jack, if they still dont work the head phone may be faulty, return to seller and ask for a refund or replacement.
But also try a different head set in the jack to see if the jacks working properly.
This can be done with some soldering skill and a lot of gentle work. If you are not feeling adventurous i am looking for a pair of working ear pices i dont need the plug or cord if you might be willing to work something out? or f you need more help let me know. n_raven99(at)hotmail.com
There may be dirt or something in the ear jack that is shorting out the out put.try using the proper plug on a earbud or head phone and see what happens
Hi I'm mhel, try to re install your audio driver and if this not work you can try to replace your head phones with a new one thats maybe the cause, but if this doesn't did the job you might have a faulty headphone jack. Consider a hardware repair. good luck
have you tried other headphones or earphones some headphones lose connection in the wire and will cause a short where one side works and the other doesnt if this is not the problem may have a lose jack on the inside of the player and will probably have to have it serviced
sometimes the place where we put the head phone lead gets pushed which gives a false statement that u're using ear/head phone. plug in the ear/head phones n again take the off
Ok people the problome is in the head phone jack. It don't make proper conection any more from being twisted and wiggled around all the time. What you can do is take the mp3 apart and put a little pice of paper and fold it upon top of the head phone jack and put it back together. Make sure that the paper is still thick enough to push down on the jack. You might have to get two extra screws of the longer two types. just in case. Any comments e mail me at: [email protected]
When you press vol up & down it will indicate "ringer ear jack." This means the phone is stuck in ear jack mode expecting a wired head phone accessory. Remove the battery then unscrew and pull out the antenna and the black plastic sleeve. Then remove the for small torx screws and carefully remove the back. Take a tooth pick to the back of the ear jack an bend the retainer pin back. Put everything back in reverse order and it should work fine.
