Can only get channels 1-13,can't get the cable channels

I assume you have analog cable TV service and no cable box. Press MENU button on your TV remote. Go over to CHANNEL SETUP. There are four arrow buttons and a button in the middle of the arrow buttons on the TV remote control. Use these arrow buttons to go up, down, left and right. Use the button in the center to select. TV On-screen menu has Video, then Audio, then Channel Setup.

Cable can be set to ON or OFF, you want to set it ON to get cable channels.
Go down to AUTO PROGRAM and select it, press button in the center of arrow keys.
A short delay while available channels are searched so be patient. After Auto Program finishes, press MENU to exit. You can perform Auto Program whenever required.

You can also add or skip channels manually. You will discover more options in the TVs menus.

try doing the auto search method on the cable remote. sometimes this works when the codes do not. if it doesn't then it is what it is.

I cannot be sure of the exact model but... Press and hold the TV's volume up and volume down buttons simultaneously. On many older televisions, this opens the device menu without the use of a remote. Otherwise, use the menu button, which you can navigate in a similar fashion.
Also, somewhere should be an input button. Press it multiple times times to switch between various inputs (the input must match whatever input you are using). Usually after these menus are opened you can use vol up vol down to change things.

It sounds like you might have a problem with the cable settings for your TV. There are a few standards for cable broadcasts and you may need to set it to standard or "STD". But since your menu button doesn't seem to be working this would pose a problem.

I would try and access your settings with the universal remote and look for something like antenna (ANT) and change it from air to cable. Depending on how old your TV is too there may be a small switch near your coaxial connection for the cable setting.

Needs the vcr heads cleaned, and get a universal remote with a menu button to change the tuner setup.

Press (on your regular remote for your satellite) the t.v. button, then press info, this worked for me and I tried everything. another viewer posted this solution and it worked great! this is not the original remote, it is the satellite remote.

You did not say if you were using cable or antenna. If cable, you need to use the remote that came with the TV. Get into the menu and look for channel setup or an equivalent heading. in one of your menu schemes will be a selection fot ant. or cable. Select cable and the other channels will magically apear when you exit the menu option.

Get a universal remote or go online and order a replacement original remote for your model. Then use the remote to enter the menu, unlock any child locks, make sure the set is in standard cable mode and do an autoprogram.

Your in the video mode so you have to change the input. On the original remote, its the button left of the power button. A universal may not work for this. If you need the original remote, Its available at http://www.remotes.com Good Luck
