"Err" appear in the viewfinder and LCD display

When I press the shutter, the camera sends "Err" message to LCD display. I still can hear the sound of shutter working, but the camera cannot auto focus and no picture is taken.

Build-in Flash cannot open when I press Flash button. All the control seems not working.

Camera: NiKon D80

After some shots an ERR message appeared on LCD, I could not make more picture. The error message in the counter field (when half pressing) the shutter is r09. I tried to take in and back the battery, the...

"ERR" doesn't indicate any specific error, but usually tends to be something only a technician can fix. Sometimes, you can make it go away by fully pressing the shutter release, but chances are that it will reappear at some point. Take it to a reputable camera shop, or send it to Nikon if you're still under warranty.

(The "r09" message is not an error, but an indicator of how many images you can take-nine in this case-before the camera has to pause for processing. This usually applies to burst-mode photography, and varies depending on how fast your CF card can transfer images.)

Error message on D70 freezing camera operations

Hello,
I got this info from Nikon for D70...
When you see Err on the control panel, LCD monitor or viewfinder of your digital camera it refers to a camera malfunction. Try the following:
  1. Remove all accessories from the camera.
  2. Install a freshly charged battery into the camera.
  3. If your Nikon camera offers resets such as the two-button reset or a hardware reset please follow those instructions provided in the product manual.
If these steps do not resolve the Err message we recommend having a Nikon Authorized Repair Technician evaluate the Nikon camera.
Hope this be useful for you to resolve problem.

Will not take picture

Some digital SLR camera have a mirror lock and others have a viewfinder shutter In each case this will be a knob in the region of the viewfinder that turns. Check that this model has it and it has not be inadvertently turned. Then come back
