I have a fish pond and our new puppy has pushed some of the rocks surrounding the pond into the pond and has torn the liner. What is the best way to repair this.

Leak in formed pond

It worked for one season on mine. As the crack got older it became longer and wider. Mine was due to not sinking the pond all the way into the ground which caused stress from the weight of the water causing it to crack more. The second season I used a water epoxy putty I bought at home depot in the glue dept. It is greenish blue and turns white after mixing and can be used underwater if necessary. I filled the gap and then placed the repair liner like you are showing over the top and sealed the edges with a black waterproof silicone. This also worked for a season. Now the crack is even larger and wider and nothing I am doing this year is holding! I can't seem to find one the same size and shape or I would replace it. My next attempt is going to be a plastic welding kit, but I haven't tried it yet. Good luck.

My pond is loosing water. I think there might be a small hole in the liner, but Ido not know where. Is there a seelant that I can get

There is sealing options once you discover the hole or tear. Allow pond to drain down to it's stable level and investigate. The liner material will dictate what your repair options are. Firestone Pond Liner or Pond King EPDM liner can be best sealed with a piece of "cover" tape - a single sided heavy repair option that bonds very well. Clean with a epdm solvent first or Coleman fuel if you can't find that. The solvent makes EPDM very tacky (wear gloves) application is much like fixing a bicycle tube.

Question before purchase (existing pond)

You don't need a bulkhead if your liner is EPDM. You can use a boot that is attached with adhesive that will seal you pvc piping. I don' t see a problem with dirty water going thru the pump before the filters. for some diagrams of settling tank installations see:
