Generac rv altenator wiring

I have an older Generac 4000 watt altenator. Starts and runs great. Puts good 110 voltage. In the "customer connection" box are three wires. Two are labeled T-2 and the other is labeled T-1. For 110 operation the T-2 wires are twisted together and along with the single T-1 wire are conected to the fuse box. With wire would be considered the "hot' wire and which is the "nuetral"? It alse has a ground wire. Thanks...Arnie

I have a 4500 watt generac lp rv generator. When I run it, it sounds like it's flooding. I have to have the gas valve almost closed for it to run right. What's wrong with it?

Sounds like the valves in the Carburetor are stuck open, or the choke is stuck closed. either way the Carburetor will need to be removed and serviced.

Generac generator manual

Usually generators that have stood for a very long time loose the magnetism in the ignitor coil magnet. With care, if you can find the low voltage wire into the generator 'motor' you can apply a 9v battery briefly to it and spark it into life. Use the generator if you get it generating, for a good period and don't leave it unused for a long while.
*IF YOU DONT KNOW AND UNDERSTAND ELECTRICITY DO NOT TRY THIS. GENERATORS CAN KILL*

My generac rv generator runs bu no voltage output.

Try putting 12 volts across the commutator at the brushes. Ust a low current battery nor a car storage battery.

Good luck,

Low voltage out 79.2 volts

Randy, connect up your volt meter and try manually reving up the engine. Even a few hundred RPM can make a big difference in the generator output.

If that resolves the problem, then you need to adjust the high speed settings on the motor.
