With normal acceleration for the last two years my 2008 Sonata has burned rubber a little taking off from a stop light. At first I thought, "this car is peppy". Now I think perhaps there is a torque problem because my front tires wear considerably faster than the back as a result. Is this a common problem, a sensor perhaps or am I going to be at the mercy of some transmission mechanic?

Keep taking it back to the dealer until the fix it or give you a new car. Not that it's an immediate safety issue, it's just something that's supposed to be functioning properly. They have to address it because cars are legally required to have TPMS systems for safety. If a safety mehanism fails in your car, you can claim it is a safety issue. If you keep having problems with the TPMS light, you'll eventually ignore it. Then one day you'll have a tire going flat and you wouldn't know it.

When you replace headlights in today's cars, DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS OF THE BULB!. Handle the bulb only with the packing material the bulb ships in, or with a clean dry cloth. The oils in your skin will cause premature failure of the bulb.
Also, check the sockets (car side) carefully to make sure they are not burned.

Whenever the 'CHECK ENGINE' light comes on, the ECU (Engine Control Unit) sets a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). These codes identify the particular engine management system which caused the light to come on. You'll need to use/find an OBDII (On-Board Diagnostic) Scanner to retrieve any code which have been stored in the ECU computer. Afterward, we might be able to help you DIAGNOSE and perhaps eventually fix the problem.

Wondering if a Sonata transmission has some kind of torque adjustment or if this is related to a traction sensor. The computer doesnt show any problems.
The ESC Electronic Stability Control light comes on and goes off every few weeks but lots of Hyundai owners complain about this.
This problem turned out to be caused by a faulty brake pedal switch. Replacing the factory installed switch with one from AutoZone eliminated the excessive torque, and the occasional ESC light on.
