My 5 year old Roper washing machine fills up, washes/agitates the cloths, drains them when the washer get to the rinse line to start the rinse cycle it stops, and all I hear is a humming. The machine will...

I'm not familiar with roper washing machines so I'll ask the question does it have two fill hoses. Most European machines now only have one fill. If it has two then it sound like the machine takes the initial water from the one fill and the rinse cycle water from another. The humming sounds like the valve for the other fill needs replacing. These are quite inexpensive and easy to fit. Power off.. remove lid ....switch of water...take out valve when you establish which one is affected and replace

Washer WPSR3100WOWW Will wash but not drain and spin... Stops at the rinse Cycle

Christina,
Does it leave water inside the tub? There are a couple of possibilitys. One could be the drain pump. If this fails the wash/rinse cycle will stop as it can sense the water not being pumped out. Can you hear the light sound of a small motot running when it goes into rinse cycle? Listen down at the very bottom far right side or far left side. If you hear the drain pump motor running is there any water discharging out the drain tube going into the wall? You should easily hear the flowing water. If not you have a few possible problems: Drain pump has an obstruction in or around it or, drain pump is actually bad.

Washing machine Series 80 Kenmore wont drain water after it's RINSE cylce including the motor. It's like the TIMER stopped after the RINSE CYCLE. I think it's the timer.

does it drain after the wash cycle? if it does, then I don't think it's the timer. It uses the same contact there as for the rinse cycle. Do you hear the motor running as if it's trying to drain? If the motor is running, perhaps the pump itself is no good? Just a couple things to check. Hope it helps.

My washing machine will not drain. It finished all the cycles but didn't drain after the rinse cycle. It still spun afterwards with water still in it.

Kenmore front-load washer stops at rinse cycle

When the washer initially fills for the wash, is it only hot water entering the drum? Try switching the water temperature between hot and cold as it fills. If any of them show little or no water getting through, it sounds too easy but check to make sure water supply taps are on, and that the cold/hot fill hoses aren't reversed. Remove the fill hoses and check any of the screen filters for blockage (in the hoses and in the inlet water valve). When the machine stops and waits to fill but all you hear is a hum, it sounds like there is power going to the valve but water is not able to get through it.
Good luck!

Whirlpool Washer - Imperial Series Quiet Wash 2

your washers drain hose is too far down the drain pipe which is causing a siphoning action pull the washers drain hose out pipe some you should be able to hear water dropping into the pipe the reason it only happens in the rinse cycle is because the water from wash is being drained and before the water vacuum is broken the rinse water comes in causing it to keep draining

Bosch classixx 1000 washing machine - stops on spin

Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x
