Kitchenaid mod#KCM511 - error 2

I have a coffe maker that is 1 week old, the model number is w10321647a, it is a cusinart make and I am unable to make coffee when I press the Brew buttion, I get an error message that is err2. I have unplugged the coffee and plugged it in a again and it is still coming up with err2 and no coffee. Please help!!

Nothing but problems! Spills,messes caused from poor engineering/design Finally a err2 message means the element is probably bad. Called kitchenaid and because ir is just beyond warranty repair they did offer a discount on a new one. I said No Thanks,I would not own another one.

Error message 2 is a result of the water heating element burning out. The element is replaceable, if you can find a vendor who sells the element assembly. Price of a new element may be more that a new pot though, if you're lucky enough to find a parts vendor that sells one.

The KitchenAid website states if it shows Err1 Err2 or Err3 try re-setting the power to the unit if it returns there is a problem with the electronics and Err4 is a stuck button. The Err2 is a heating element falure. Unfortunatley it may cost you more to fix than a new one. If it is less than a year old they may repair it under warranty but after a year your on your own.
