I purchased a Haier Genesis HLT364XXQ top load washer. It works great except that I am not able to wash in hot water. I contacted Haier and they sent a repairman. He tells me there is nothing wrong with the washer. He said it is programmed to only allow so much hot water to enter the machine. The valve is working fine - it has been replaced just to be sure. When I try to wash in hot water, the washer allows the cold water to come on all the way, but just short little bursts of hot water. This results in room temperature water, instead of hot. Has anyone had this problem? Can the washer be reprogrammed? I like the washer, but I need to wash some things in hot water. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Paul
Hey Paul, you don't have to wash anything in hot water. Hot water only wastes money and does nothing, in my opinion, to get anything cleaner. It does ,however set the stains. To kill any thing the water has to be 212 degrees [ boiling ]I have not used hot water for over 40 years and our clothes are coming out clean. Just set the machine on cold. I put a twoway spigot on my cold tap and put the hot water and cold water together incase someone breaks in and does my laundry. Barry

I have a Haier Genesis model GWT800AW with the exact same problem.. When filling with water , It doesnt matter what temperature you choose it will always spray in cold water. depending if you choose medium or hot it will only mix in small amounts of hot water. I used a thermometer and measured the temp of the water.on cold the temp. was unreadable, on warm it also was to cold to register a temp. on hot it measured 70 degrees which is what the warm setting should be. anyone else have this problem? also is there anyone that has had this problem fixed and if so what was the fix?
