Most bed frames you buy come with assembly instructions. Assembly is usually very simple. Usually most of the frame is put together and all you have to do is link two parts in the middle of the front and back of the frame.

SOURCE: power seat motor broken

Yhea you have to disassemble the entire seat and order a new base for it. We have repaired a few of them at the shop. I have had one just welded back together but it never sits quite the way it used to.

SOURCE: Drivers door window is off it's carrier Rail

Remove screws by mirror, and around the door armrest, use a flathead screwdriver to pop out the electric window/door lock controls and unplug the wire harness. Now take a bigger flat head screw-driver and pry around the edge of the panel where there are little plastic retaining screws. Pull slowly and make sure screw-driver is directly next to plastic screw. Now, pry all around the edges, and pull the panel straight up and pull than set it on the ground. You will now see the inside of your door. There may be plastic covering over the door that you will have to slowly pull off or cut. Now you will see your window. There should be a carrier rail on each side of the widow or straight across the bottom holding window in place. Re-align window to holder, (if there is any broken parts, you should get them replaced) You can turn car power on and still use and re-plug in window control buttons to help adjust the carrier rail.
Now reverse procedure for replacement.

Check the spark either with an inductive timing light, or with an old spark plug in a wire you disconnect and lay on the engine.
It is probably the coil or ignition modules, which most parts places will check for free, if you bring it in.

I have purchased 3 Airtech fuel pumps in the last day trying to diagnose why there is no gas pumping from the fuel pump. It all started on a hot day in Phoenix last week when I ran it about 20 mile in the...

Sounds like the ground is bad. The ground wire for the fuel pump is located on top of the frame inder the place where the fuel filler hoses go over the frame to the side of the bed where the filler cap is. Some models this wire gfoes to the transmission crossmember( I can't tell you why) and are on the top side. this wire ( it's black and by it's self) can be nearby but in other places. It can be just dirty or broken off or if the old pump failed shorted burnt off. One wire on the pump should be grond and the other comes from the fuel pump relay in the under hood fuse real panel. (It;s marked) You can turn on the key before you put the pump in the tank and it'll whine as you turn the key on. Airtex makes some poor pumps but I bet you did'nt get three bad ones. I put Delphi pumps in and don't even tell my customersw that you can get the cheap Airtex as I don't like having to change them againin less than a year.

I need to remove chrome bed rails

Hello, Just wanted to tell you about our bed rails on a 2008 Lincoln LT. We wanted to keep ours when we put on a hardcover lid on the bed of our Lincoln. The rails can be added to a hardcover lid. It looks great and dresses up the color-coded lid.

The end caps are made out of plastic and there is a length of metal inside the hollowed out rail. Don't know if separation issues are a problem for you, but ours seemed to stretch and shrink until gaps appeared.

Lincolns have a longer Warranty and Lincoln may Warranty a repair if you are still using the stock application from the factory. One of our end-caps fell off while we returned from a 500 mile trip. Our Dealer replaced the missing piece since a Lincoln Dealer made the modification. No hassle at all.

A shop which installs the lids may have more information than I can give you. I hope I have been helpful with my comments.

I WANT TO INSTALL A NEW STEERING GEARBOX ON MY 1982 C10 CHEVY PICKUP. IS THIS A HARD PROCESS IF YOU ARE REPLACING IT WITH A NEW GEARBOX UNIT? DO YOU HAVE A PROCEDURE FOR THIS & DOES IT REQUIRE...

It's not a complicated process but you will need a pitman arm puller to get the pitman arm off the steering box. The biggest thing to be concerned about is getting it put back together identically to the way it was when you took it off. Pay very close attention to how the steering column is attached to the box. It has to go back on exactly the same way. Also make sure the truck wheels are straight ahead before you take the old box off. Check to be sure the new box is also centered before you put it on. The pitman arm will only go on one way, there is a wide notch in the teeth that will only go on the box one way. Don't be surprised if you have to turn a little to get them lined up, but that should only be a tooth or two. Powe steering hoses need to come off before you unbolt the box from the frame. Make sure you cap them so they don't leak and take note of which one goes where. Don't get them mixed up.
The GM service manual doesn't say anything about special procedures or adjustments once you have the new box in and the only difference between the procedures is the removal of power steering hoses. They do specify that you need to be sure that the steering colum and box must be put together EXACTLY the way it came apart, spacers, location of bolts and clamps so maybe take some pictures or draw it out before you take it apart. Hope this helps.

Where do i place a jack stand on a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Hope this helps and please don't forget to rate...thanks!

Jacking points on all Jeep vehicles

c17hydro_1.gif

Your Jeep was supplied with a jack for emergency road repairs. This jack is fine for changing a flat tire or other short-term procedures not requiring you to go beneath the vehicle. Do not attempt to use the jack on any portions of the vehicle other than specified by the vehicle manufacturer. Always block the diagonally opposite wheel when using a jack.

Placing a floor jack under the front frame rail

c17hydro_3.gif

Placing a floor jack under the rear frame rail at the leaf spring shackle. It may be necessary to place a block of wood between the frame rail and the jack

c17hydro_4.gif

Supporting the front of the vehicle with jack stands placed under each frame rail

A more convenient way of jacking is the use of a garage or floor jack. You may use the floor jack at the specified points in following the illustrations.

Never place the jack under the radiator, engine or transmission components. Severe and expensive damage will result when the jack is raised. Additionally, never jack under the floorpan or bodywork; the metal will deform

the santa fe offers side steps, it is a solid system that mounts to the body and frame rail of the truck and extends out from the vehicle a little bit... other then that i know a lot of places sell aftermarket parts, but a lot of them if you put them on you have a lot of problems cause they are not made as a certain year kit, they are made as a generic kit and have to be made to fit.... straight from the factory side steps are the better way of going.... not anything other then that or you will have a sore ankel.... hope this helps you...
