Spa water drains to pool

Trying to turn the heater on the Spa. Manual states to turn Spa button to on as well as heater for spa. When turn on the Spa button, all water drains thru filters/pumps in to the pool. How do I turn this function off and just turn spa filter on as well as spa heater on.

I am trying to heat my spa only. The overflow feature to the pool is continuing so there is a constant exchange of water with the pool. The heater is working fine but because the waterfall does not stop, the temperature has only gone up 4 degrees in 4 hours. Help!!

I have a Jandy Aqualink pool system. When I turn on the spa and heater, the spa drains..I've never had this happen but don't use the spa much. What should I check?

His is not typically a control panel issue but more likely a valve issue.

Your valves are set as follows wih a few minor variations.....
Pool mode- sucks from pool skimmer and or pool vac line and returns water to both the pool and spa.
Spa mode - self contains the spa , meaning water is sucked from the spa and returned only to the spa.
If your spa is draining then most likely one of your electronic valves is failing...most likely it's the return valve so what is happening is the water is sucked from the spa and returned to the pool instead of self containing the spa.
Easy check is to be next to the equip when spa mode is selected and two valves should move and align properly, the return side valve is most likely not moving or it is not moving into the correct position.
The fix is either adjusting the valve acuator or buying a new valve acuator.
Another thing to check is on the main panel circuit board to ensure the return and auction 3 pin plug ins are still connected.

I have a Aqualink RS6. When I push the "Spa" button to circulate water from the spa, to the heater, back to the spa, then the spa begins to empty! What do I fix or replace?

it sounds as if the actuator returning the water to the spa is not responding. when you hit spa, the 'draw' and 'return' valves must be in the right position. if the draw switches to spa but the return stays on pool, the spa will drain

When spa button is pushed, the spa circulates but water starts to drain out

you have a broken motorized valve broke. you should have two black boxes with handles at your equitment pad have some one push the spa button while you look at the vavles if one doesnt turn thats your broken on.

Just bought house with aqualink pool spa, one of our teenagers pushed the buttons, we dont know which one and the spa has emptied and the pool is full and we dont know how to get the water back in the spa...

You cannot drain the spa using the indoor controller, unless the valves out at the equipment are set wrong. go to the outside pannel and put the system in" service mode"(using the button on the left). then push the button on the right till it says "spa fill".There are 2 "accuators" (or automated valve turners) They are black rectangular boxes connected to the water valves. Use the toggle switches on the side to turn the vales to the correct positions. You want the pump to **** from the pool and return to the spa. Now turn on the filter pump and let it run till the spa is full. Put the system back in "auto mode" and you are done.

Pool heater is not working properly

So I assume you have pressed the button by pool to select the pool thermostat? If this doesn't work sounds like another mother board problem, or try powering down the unit a few minutes then restart. IF you haven't pressed the pool button, the read this: The heater comes factory set at 78° F. for the pool mode and 100° F. for the spa mode. If it's in spa mode it's trying to get to 100F. Using the up and down arrows, you can set the thermostats to a minimum temperature of 65° F., or a maximum of 104° F. If you desire to heat only one
body of water, the thermostat is capable of an off mode. As an example, if you only wish to heat the pool and not the spa simply depress and hold the spa down arrow, and the thermostat will lower its setting to 65° F. then go to an off mode.
