Unscrew the grill and look for a plastic piece that holds the capsule in place. This plastic piece also can be unscrewed and will allow you to reach the PC board inside. Check for broken wiring (most common problem) but low output usually indicates a damaged mic capsule that must be replaced.

How do you get them apart. I have an old Maytag washer/dryer combo around 15 years old. I am trying to get them apart to remove them from and old house without hurting someone.

I have the perfect website for you problem "appliancepartspros.com" You enter your model number and woola......the have complete breakdowns in picture form as well as "how too" instructons and all the parts needed. They also have a blog you join and ask questions where an expert in appliance repair responds with and answer. The prices for parts cant be beat. You will find all your anweres on the wesbite, and with the picture breakdown you will probably be able to figure out how it comes apart by yourslfe. but again, the have all the intructions on "how to" available for you.

How to Replace Little Giant Water Wizard Utility Pump Power Cord

Yes, If it goes together it will come apart. If it is the one I'm thinking of if you take the base apart there will be through bolts that run through the whole pump, remove these I want to think there are some that are short and these hold the base to the motor but they may be behind the impeller. Be warey as I'm not sure. But once the through bolts are out you should be able to carefully remove the top. Some have very frail gaskets here so be gentel. Once you have the top free there will be a compression nut holding the cord before pulling cord through use a light sand paper to clean the cord so the part you pull through will be fresh enough to seal. Don't lube the cord this will keep it from sealing. Pull it hrough and make your repair and put it back together the way it came apart. Use a sharpie to mark the top and housing as you take it apart. When finished loop some cord through pump handel and tie it off so this takes the weight in the future to keep from having the same problem again. good luck

The thermostat housing separated, or blew apart would be a better way of putting it. Im sure it needs a new housing but I cant figure out how to put a new thermostat into the new housing. This is a 2005...

This is a notorious Aveo problem, These are poorly made. You need a new thermostat housing it includes the thermost on the 04-05' Aveo. It is all one sealed part from the factory. The original part is made of plastic. Chevy has an aluminum one now that won't break but it's MSRP price from the dealer is $91.78 got one and put it on my mothers car works fine now. So you can't just put a new thermostat in it you need the whole housing which already has the thermo. in it.

My Cect P168 I can hear caller but they can not hear me? Everything else works perfect? What could be the problem?

These phones have been known to have some mic problems (usually buzzing) when the mic's connector wire becomes loose from the mainboard. This happens most likely during shipment of the phone.

Though it definitely sounds as though the mic is not working, just to be more convinced it is the mic, try doing a voice recording to see if that fails as well.

Unfortunately the only 2 ways of fixing it are taking the chance yourself to take the phone all the way apart without breaking it to get at the mainboard connection and secure the mic wire, if that's truly all it was, or to send the phone back for replacement.
