I have a roland vp-450 and dueing the printing it stopps and says now processing? Just incase of a network problem, I have changed all cables and reinstalled versaworks. It could happen 50mm or 500 into the print. Today it went 2mts then stop. Perhaps a motherboard issue ?.

Try a Head Soak. Make sure the tube to the waste ink bottle is not blocked or pinched.

"DATA ERROR CANCELING..." Output was stopped because a problem was found in the data received.
Operation cannot be continued. Check whether or not there is an error in the data. Check for a problem with the connector cable or the computer, and redo the operation from setting up the object to be printed on.Roland Technical Support.

Could you try
(1) Temporarily stick a white strip over the sensor where it detects the media or
(2) On the length of the media or
(3) Even staple same sized white media below the black one which you can un-staple after printing.

Do you have your LAN Cable tied with your AC power Cable?
I have th same problem on two VP540 after seven years of trouble free working. A few months ago I was reorganizing my shop and I tied up both cables to avoid tangle cables with machine wheels every time I move It.
I think that the noise produced by AC Voltage Affect the VP540 ethernet port.

What do you need to do? To set up for printing plug in ethernet cable and assign an IP address, Subnet and Gateway in the User Tools System Settings.

Why change the drum, blade, developer ????? You had problems with print quality?? I think it was just spending money ....
You have a network problem or machine firmware. To remove the doubts plug a laptop directly to the machine with a cable (Not necessary a croos cable). This may be a virus network or a broken swith.
