The GR-D270U uses SD cards. They should be available at just about any department, electronics, or office-supply store. Make sure you get an SD card, not an SDHC card. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work.
If the card-reader states it's for a mini-sd card, then you should just be able to insert the mini-sd card into one of the slots. However, some card readers double-up on slots by making it so more than one card-type can be inserted into the same slot. See if the mini-sd card can be put into one of the slots successfully. Tip: Read your manual before doing so, so you don't get card stuck in wrong slot.
You can buy an adaptor for the card (I assume you have a micro SD card and your camcorder takes a standard or mini SD card). Try a camera shop for adaptors. It will cost only a little bit more to buy the correct size card.
mini-SD card. Here is a 4gb one on amazon for $7.99 (your device can take up to an 8gb card but make sure you get a MINI SD and not a regular SD.

you can use the bluetooth feature if your computer also has bluetooth capability. if not, hopefully you're using a mini SD card. if your computer has a port for mini SD's, then just take the mini SD out of your phone and plug into your computer. if your computer has a regular SD port, then you need to get yourself a mini SD adapter. it looks just like an SD card, but it has a small opening to slide your mini into. if there are no SD ports on your computer, simply buy yourself a Flashdrive (thumbdrive) that has a port on it for mini SD cards. then, just plug that into your USB port. if you're not using a mini SD card in your phone, then you need a data transfer cable, which you probably have to get from AT&T. i tried radio shack, but they didn't have them. In my experience, using a mini SD card provides the most compatibility. hope this helps.
most mini sd cards come with a full-sized sd card adapter that the mini slips into. You can then slip that in your computer if you have an sd slot or sd reader. You can also buy very inexpensively, a usb port mini sd reader that you can plug directly into your usb port on your computer. Then after you'v dragged and dropped the files, you can put the mini sd back in your phone.
Thats weird!
This is the right size of SD card for your camcorder.

You should get an adapter of appropriate size and place the micro SD card in the adapter and then insert the adapter into the camcorder.
just find a card reader for sd card , u should have mini sd to sd converter in ur mobile box take it or buy it from street shop , and then put it in card reader in laptop then go to my computer and right click on the card icon in disk section and then select format from the list here u go, but u should first check ur card might be faulty try changing it first
I hope this helps - I had the same problem with several cards but eventually found a way around it. DON'T buy a new one!!!!!!!!
Make sure the SD card lock is 'off' and then use thin, opaque sticky
tape (ie non see-through; eg insulation tape) to cover the whole gap
but keep clear of the metal contacts at the back.
Your card should work fine now.....don't know why this has to be done, but it works!!!!!!!!!
