How do I fix a Vizio M220NV

If your flat screen won't power up or is trying to power up and then just stops but the standby light is on, then your capacitors are toast. If the tv is out of warranty, then just open it up and check to see if they are bulging or will look like burnt. If you want to experiment, you can do it with a soldering iron and lead. You can also watch it in Youtube if you want to see how it is done. Otherwise, out of warranty tv repair is expensive and sometimes buying a new one is cheaper. I did it for my tv and saved a bundle or it would be the dumpster for it.

Hello, with the set on, press the menu button, move the cursor down till the "Tuner" section is hi-lighted, click on it. Then the first selection is "Tuner Mode" click on it, the choose "Antenna" click on it. Then move to the "Auto Channel Scan" and click on it, and let it set all your channels. when done, just exit menu and change channels as desired. you can go to page 39 in your manual for these instructions: Tuner Mode
Select Cable or Antenna depending
upon which equipment you have
attached to the DTV / TV Input.
Auto Channel Search
Automatically search for TV channels
that are available in your area. Be
sure to first select the correct tuner
mode above. The TV will search for
analog and digital channels. When the
search is done, press EXIT to begin
watching your programs. thanks, Terry

How do i reset the parental controls without a remote?

If the TV has a menu button at its front panel, you can access the parential control window and set the control to OFF. If the TV has no Menu button on its front panel control, you must have its original remote control to access this window. Contact the nearest authorised service center for Vizio at your town, to get an orginal remote control to your Vizio TV.
