Bosch dishwasher has water in bottom after cycle is complete

Clean the drain filter in the bottom of the washer

Have you tried canceling the cycle? To cancel, turn the on/off switch to on, then press and hold for three seconds the two buttons labeled "Cancel Drain". Keep the door closed for the next minute so that the dishwasher can complete the cycle. During this time the pump will remove any water from the washer. Also you will notice that Bosch dishwashers always leave a little water in the system to keep the seals from drying out and going bad.

After 8 years service the seal may have perished, so you should feel for a crack by stretching the rubber where you noticed the leak.

Check the drain line underneath the sink.
It should be suspended just below the counter top.
If it is too low,water from the sink will back fill into the dishwasher.
If the drain is OK,then the dishwasher water valve is defective.

I ran into the SAME problem with my Bosch SHX46A06UC /21. The problem ultimately ended up being a clog in the air gap vent, (meaning, SOMEBODY ran the dishwasher without the bottom filter being in place or not in place properly). Remove the air gap cover and upper surface nut to drop the air gap vent into the area under the sink. Disconnect the hoses from the air gap vent filter (placing a bucket under the hose from the dishwasher). Run the drain cycle on the dishwasher. The washer should drain into the bucket and let you know that your pump works and that there are no clogs or kinks in the drain hose. (This will also remove the clog if so). The air gap vent's smaller hose connection is MOST LIKELY where your clog is. Look at the upper end of the air gap vent. You'll see a couple of clips on opposite sides of each other, that hold the air vent cap in place. Using a small screwdriver, (or your hands if you can), depress the clips (or one at a time) to get to the point where you can pull the vent cap off the filter. Either use water or a thin, long blade screwdriver to force any objects out of the filter. You should now have full flow through both branches of the filter. Using water and a rag, clean the vent cap and filter. Mount the air gap vent filter back onto the sink. Reconnect the hoses and remove the dishwasher's internal filter(s) and clean them as well while you're at it, making sure to remove any debris that might remain underneath the filter and has the chance of clogging the unit again.

Run the washer again to test. You should be good!

Your screens are clogged. Unscrew the cap holding on the lower washwer arm, and get in there with a toothbrush.

This is normal with a Bosch. They don't really vent out when they heat, and use a type of evaporation technology to dry the dishes. Best bet is to make sure first that the filter in the bottom is clean, (the little circle thingy on the bottom, turn it a quarter turn and pull it out, run it under cool water till it's clear, then put it back in the same way.) If the water is bothering you or is beginning to make a bit of a smell in there, leave the door cracked a little after you empty the dishes out. unfortunately though, it'll always leave water in the bottom. European technology.

Sounds like you need a new water inlet valve. It's not shutting off completely, so water slowly enters the machine even while it isn't running.

I have a Bosch Dishwasher and the E-Nr is SGS4362EU/03. The machine is approximately 4 years old, in good condition and has been working very well. Suddenly, there is water remaining after it completes a 50 degrees C wash cycle. This is also evident with the pre wash cycle and the 65 degrees wash cycle.

I have checked and cleaned the filters. I have loosened the internal pump white cover (Torx T 20 screw) and checked for any physical blockage - none. I have also checked for any drainage hose kinks - none.

I have tried a series of empty washes and the machine drains the water during the wash cycles. The dishes are also have a dull colour and show show signs of not being properly rinsed during the wash cycle.

Please assist.

Try disconnecting power from your dishwasher for a few minutes to clear the memory and then reapply power again. Start a wash cycle without dishes on the hottest water setting and after a few minutes.. pause the wash and add a few cups of white vinegar to the wash water.,. that will help break up deposits in the system.. See if that gets you going properly.
