Hello,
Use the witeView Mode or fraction mode
20000s /3600s/h gives 5 full hours, remain 2000 seconds,
2000s/60s/h gives 33 minutes remain 20 seconds.
Result is 5h 33 min 20 sec
Do not confuse the DMS degree, minute, seconds with th hour minute seconds.

Hope it helps.

Hp 32sII enter degrees minutes seconds

According to the "HP 32SII RPN Scientific Calculator Owner's Manual" (at the link below), you just need to treat degrees, minutes, and seconds conversions as hours, minutes, and seconds. Use the left-shift and right-shift keys together with the 5 key to convert to decimal-fraction form (D.d format) and to minutes-seconds form (DD.MMSSss), respectively.

Dd to dms conversion

Press the DMS button to convert between decimal degrees and degrees-minutes-seconds.
The DMS button is marked with the degree, minute, and second symbols. It's located above the [ENG] key, which is located above the [8] key.
For full details, start with the "Degree, Minute, Second (Sexagesimal) Calculations" section beginning on page E-22 of the manual. If you need a manual, you may download a copy here.

Can I convert Decimal Degrees to Degrees, Minutes, Seconds on my casio fx-991 ES?

Yes. Pressing the DMS key (two keys above the 8 key) when a result is displayed toggles the result between decimal degrees and degrees-minutes-seconds.

For example, to convert 3.5 degrees, press 3 . 5 = and you'll see 3.5. Now press DMS and you'll see 3 degrees 30 minutes 0 seconds.

2.45.35 hours - 0.23. 12 hours = ?. a short quick method please

Seconds: Subtract 12 from 35 to get 23.
Minutes: Subtract 23 from 45 to get 22
Hours: Subtract 0 from 2 to get 2.

Put the three together to get 2.22.23

This one was easy because there was no need for carry. If you do have to carry, just make sure you carry 60. Otherwise, it's exactly the same as when you learned subtraction in second grade.

Some calculators have conversions between decimal degrees/hours and degrees/hours:minutes:seconds. If you have such a calculator, you can convert both numbers to decimal, subtract, and convert back. Since you didn't specify what calculator you have, I can't tell whether this is an option for you.

Use the key above the ENG key to enter a value in DMS form, ending each portion with the key. To convert it to decimal, press SD once (or twice if you get a fraction the first time).

Example: sine of 12 degrees 15 minutes:
sin 12 *** 15 *** =
where *** is the DMS key.

An ant carries food at a speed of 1 cm/s. How long will it take the ant to carry a cookie crumb from the kitchen table to the ant hill, a distance of 50 m? Express your answer in seconds, minutes and...

Since there are by definition 100 cm in a meter, the distance is 50x100 or 5000 cm. At 1cm/s it takes the ant 5000 seconds to cover the distance. There are 60 seconds in a minute, so it takes 83 minutes and 20 seconds.
