Philips GoGear 8GB wont show song titles or artists.

My mp3 player wont: show songs, artists, or albums. This happened just yesterday. I tried to restart it but that did nothing. I tried to sync songs onto it and it came up with this messege "Songs are not compatible with my portable device" but I always used to use the same program and it didn't have a problem before. What should I do?

The phillips go gear mp3 player is a total pice of **** the best thing you could do is go out return it and buy a sandisk sansa other wise called a sansa fuse they are great and they have an expandable micro sd card port.

oh and to fix your phlips go gear mp3 player you need to take a pin and stick it in a small hole on the side i belive it is on the left side next to the mic.

My phillips gogear vibe says that there is no music anymore

Try resetting the MP3 player: locate the little reset hole (it is quite small) and give it a poke with something blunt like a unraveled paper clip.

All downloaded music is "unknown" artist, title etc.

Hey, I am not sure about ubunta but in Windows, you need a program that "tags" the MP3. Just google MP3 tag editor and you will find some programs that do this. Again, not sure about ubunta but give it a shot. What this program does is let you edit the MP3 to the fullest. Song title, artist, album, everything...Check it out....

Unable to Edit Files.

Open Windows Media Player 11
Right click on one of the songs that is showing up as unknown artist.
Select "Advanced Tag Editor"
Manually enter the artist information, etc.

To save time, you could also right click the song and select "Find Album" info - it won't find every album, but it will find most of them.

The real bear is that once you have edited the information in Windows Media Player, you have to delete the affected song off of your mp3 player and THEN reload the newly-edited song - or else your changes won't register on the mp3 player itself.

Downloaded songs but won't play on go gear 3020/37 how do i fix

First try opening the gogear device and click on music right after the welcome screen. Select either "All Songs", "Artists" or "Albums" to find your songs. If you downloaded your songs, they should display on the screen of philips gogear, then you can select them to play on your headphones

Only some audio formats (.mp3 .wav and .wma will be play on philips gogear SA 3020/37)

My lists are in reverse order

You have to delete those songs off the player, put them in reverse order in Windows Media Player, and then reload them to GoGear. I know it's a pain, but it is the only method that works.
