Legs lose grip and get shorter! How do i tighten them??? Help!

As mentioned the legs seem loose. When i move my telescope, the legs lose grip and minimize the tripods height. Some legs have it worse than others.. Its so annoying. Please help!

I am not sure what kind you have but mine there is grips around the legs you grap and turn and the other one I have has a handle you flip un or down I hope this works out

I have a Maytag Model # LA806-02, which dances across the flor when in the spin mode. Tighting the three centering spring has helped very little.
If your Maytag is dancing across the floor the most common problem is the leveling. If one or more of the feet are not level it ill wobble and walk around the floor. When you level the machine on the top both directions make sure the set nut is tightened so you will not have to retighten it again later.

Reassembling telescopic sections for a 676B monopod
Each leg lock has a leg locking lever and a screw that hold the clamp assembly tight to the leg. Unlock the leg lock lever, loosen the screw above it that holds the clamp tight to the leg. The legs should fit into each other sice each leg is slightly larger or smaller then then next one. Slide the clamps in the approprite places and tighten the screw enough to hold the clamp assembly tight, but do not over tighten it. Over tightening will damage the 679 tubes.

I just cannot get it level...wobbles from left to right...I have tried adjusting legs up and down. Legs do not seem to move..regardless of how much I turn them. Any advice?
are you turning the leg or the pad around the feet, may have to remove the pads by pulling them off then make sure the jam nuts are loose before turning the leg, it is also possible the legs are stripped but unless you stripped them its highly unlikely

Leg clamp tightening adjustment on a 055 tripod.Under weight the leg telescopes in on itself. Clamp doesnot grip tightly enough on the middle diameter leg tube.
There should be a nut on the other side of the housing of the tightening lever that you can tighten. Turn the lever to unlock the leg then start with 1/8 th turns of the nut to tighten, then turn the lever to lock the leg. Do this until you get the desired locking.

A - Yes, there is...The legs on the washer are adjustable, the rear legs are often ( not always ) self adjusting, make sure the legs are not stuck and that they can move freely. But the front legs can screw in and out to move the washer depending on the floor the washer is sitting on. Make sure the washer is as low to the floor as possible. When the legs are screwed out too far the washer becomes wobbly. Often on the metal style legs there are lock nuts that can be tightened to secure the legs so they don't move on you. washers where really meant to sit on a cement floor, if your washer is on a wooden floor look carefully at the strength of the floor. If the floor is moving up and down when the washer is running, the floor may not be strong enough to support the washers weight. Most main floor laundry rooms floors are nailed down, the sub-floor is more secure if the sub-floor has been screwed down. Sometimes extra support may have to be added under the flooring to add some strength

With what can I lubricate the legs onmy aluminum Mafrotto tripod?
Dear Winnieg,
I would avoid using a lubricant on your tripod legs, because you run the risk of the legs not tightening down anymore. I would try cleaning the tripod thoroughly first, because most of the time this is caused by dirt. If that dosen't work I would try rubbing on a small amount of candle wax onto the legs, and then wipe the legs down with a clothe.
