D-link Range Booster N650/DWA-547 driver removes user switcher

When I installed the driver for this card on XP sp3, I no longer had the option of a green user switch this was because of the file Wlan GINA installed in the WINDOWS folder. It 's regained when I  uninstall the D-link driver is there a patch or newer driver that overcomes this?

Noone supports Windows XP anymore. I wouldn't count on any driver updates.

I recently purchased this. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833127272) and a copy of Windows 7 64-bit OEM. So, I go to install the utility and drivers and after the point where it...

Did you try these drivers for DWA-125?

If your model is DWA-125 RevA2 then you need these drivers for it.
ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Wireless/dwa125_revA2/Drivers/dwa125_revA2_drivers_130.zip

Uninstall all the previous drivers/ apps related to your adapter. Download the appropriate drivers above. Unzip/ extract the file. But don't run any installer yet.

Plug in your adapter first cancel the windows new hardware found pop up if it come up. If windows says no drivers found thats ok. If windows finds the drivers and installs it right then great if not then lets move on.

Open device manager. Click on the adapter and click upgrade driver and select find drivers manually. Point it to the folder you unzipped all the files too. And windows should install the drivers this time.

Let us know how it goes..

I have a motto.... Never follow the directions that come from the manufacturer....
The software that comes from them are automated, and depicting omn what system you are running
when you insert your card, find the folder that has been extracted to and with the windows browser, install from that source, and that will bypass the "Verification".

DWA-643 installed but unable to access any wireless point

check the status of the device under Device Manager first and see if it was properly installed. If yes, you may use the wireless zero configuration utility built-in to XP or Vista. If your OS is lower than XP you have the use the utility provided by D-link. It usually comes with a CD installer for its driver and utility.

Please rate and see if it helps. Thanks and goodluck.
