Try another set of speakers to eleiminate the BOSE speakers as being the issue (even cheap ones will do). If the problem does not re-occur, the issue is with the speakers. If all the speaker jacks are plugged in correctly, I would consider returning this set, as it looks like the issue is within the circuitry of the Woofer
ALL you have to do is visit your local dealer, whoever the service plan is under like nextel, tmobile, whoever and ask them to unlock it or there are websites that you can go to but most of them charge money for the codes. You should be able to locate the speaker phone with a button on the outside of the phone normally on the right side or you can go into your menu and look for the speakerphone icon.
Left/Right balance can be adjusted in the "Sounds and Audio devices" in Control Panel. If the adjustment is not the issue then the soundcard is at fault.
