Try checking the lid switch. Sometimes the switch goes bad or the stem breakes and when the lid shuts it will not activate the switch. Usually located on the right side of the dryer. When the lid closes it will allow water to.fill. Washers are easy to fix and the part is cheap. Get it from amazon dont pay the crazy price your dealer wants. Trust me, i just fixed my mothers...

Kenmore washer water not filling

there is a inline mesh filter at the tap end of the hose but it is more that likely that the tap washer need replacing
it is possible that the inlet solenoid valve is not operating properly
if you have separate hot and cold water hoses and taps then either tap should produce a full flow when set if no taps get a full slow when selected , indicates a problem power board

Check the pressure switch and hose. Pressure switch is what turns the pump on and off. Trouble is usually in the hose so check it first. Look for the hose to be unattached or clogged.

Kenmore water keep running will not wash

On many washing machines, there is a water level setting switch. This allow you to adjust the level in the machine to converse water. This switch works on air pressure. There is a small hose inside the outer drum at the bottom of the washer. It is connected to the pressure switch (level setting switch). As the washer fills, the weight of the water compresses the air in the hose until the pressure switch activates. There are two possible failure scenarios; they are both fairly easy to repair. First, the hose could be blocked at the drum entry point by lint or debris. This is a somewhat common occurrence. To check this, unplug the washer. Remove the rear cover from the control panel to access the rear of the switches. Find the rubber hose attached to the level switch and remove it. Blow through the hose to clear it. Reattach the hose and retest the machine. If that doesn't work, you may need to replace the water level switch, It is easily remove and replaced once you have accessed the rear of the unit. You can calls Sears service with the model and serial number of the machine and get replacement parts sent directly to your home.

Water only dribbles out of lower spray arm during cycle and spray arm doesn't turn. checked filter, water lines etc. If it's a motor or pump that needs to be replaced, how do I get to it?

Hi

When the Dishwasher won't fill you'll need to check for the water inlet hose, the water inlet valve and the float switch assembly. When the water fills your dishwasher, a float rises along with it. As the float reaches a certain threshold level, it shuts off the flow of water, thereby preventing a leak. Sometimes the float can get stuck in the wrong position in your dishwasher, and it can prevent your dishwasher from filling. Sometimes it can happen due to float valve and on other occasions due to float switch. Inspect the water hose coming to the dishwasher for any blockages. If the hose is not clogged then check the water inlet valve for any clogs, if the water will not even fill for few seconds then certainly the water inlet valve is bad and should be replaced. You can also use a multimeter to check continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly. However, if the valve is fine then the float switch assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Washing machine won't stop filling the tub when I

The problem is the pressure switch has failed or the hose is plugged up, has a hole in it. These are usually inexpensive and are very easy to replace. Here is a video this will walk you thru testing and replacing a pressure switch. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model. All parts come with installation instructions. Not all models are available.

Kenmore front-load washer stops at rinse cycle

When the washer initially fills for the wash, is it only hot water entering the drum? Try switching the water temperature between hot and cold as it fills. If any of them show little or no water getting through, it sounds too easy but check to make sure water supply taps are on, and that the cold/hot fill hoses aren't reversed. Remove the fill hoses and check any of the screen filters for blockage (in the hoses and in the inlet water valve). When the machine stops and waits to fill but all you hear is a hum, it sounds like there is power going to the valve but water is not able to get through it.
Good luck!
