BenQ w1080st. Just replaced lamp, after it has been working fine until bulb broke. Now green temp light comes on and screen goes dark after 3-4 min?

The green temp light indicates that the fan isn't working; some models have 2 fans. The fan cools the projector lamp and protects the unit from damage. When the fan isn't working, the projector turns off to keep the temperature from continuing to rise. This information is available on page 52 of the User Manual available here: https://www.benq.com/en-us/support/downloads-faq/products/projector/w1080st/manual.html . The current link to the manual is https://esupportdownload.benq.com/esupport/Projector/UserManual/Projector_um_User%20Manual_20130529_114725W1070_W1080ST_EN.pdf . The recommended solution is a service call.

If your projector is out of warranty and not covered by a repair plan, I found several sources for the replacement fan with a Google search. IFixit has some videos for taking apart the projector to clean it and replace the fan on some BenQ projectors.

I hope this helps.

Why does it work for 10 min, then turns off?

U might have a thermal issue or better still, a false overheating signal being generated. If you have one of those small 8 inch desk fans, put it on full blast and give the unit the mother of all blow jobs while turned on to see if it shuts off. If it still shuts off something else is wrong. If it continues to work then ........................

Infocus X1 picture freezes and dissapears and then comes on again

your display settings may be off, so change settings to factory reset and you may have to drop the resolution on your computer. you may also have a bad cable, so try a different cable.

Projector will not power on

Check your cooling solution wether its a fan malfunction or if it needs a new fan - or h20 cooling system

if not its either the power supply or something serious - send it to manifacture or go to a in-store repair

(it could be the dust protector)
