Janome MC 10001 auto. needle threader stuck in up position.

The automatic needle threader is stuck in the up position and the machine won't sew. I hear a clicking sound. How do I get the threader to lower. The instruction manual only tells how to raise the threader. I'm in the middle of a big project and need help!

You are threading the top of the machine incorrectly.

Make sure the needle is in correctly with the flat side to the rear of the machine, make sure to thread the upper and lower portions of the machine correctly. If this does not solve your problem, please respond.

Make sure the needle is inserted in the machine properly- a good rule
of thumb is the flat side of the needle should go to the opposite side
of the last thread guide. Also make sure the machine is threaded
    correctly.

re-threaded but threading is correct. did not make any difference. needle threader still stays jammed at the top and will not release. is there a way to remove the automatic threader since I never use it anyways?

Automatic needle threader stuck

You may have a thread stuck in your bobbin area. Remove your bobbin, brush gently with a clean soft brush to remove dust and/or thread bits, then gently wiggle your hand wheel back and forth, and brush again. This should free up your machine.

My janome 11000 memorycraft's needle threader has jammed in the down position and cannot be moved

Thanks to floraq803, we have our 11000 working again. The needle threader was stuck in the down position. We turned off the machine, and turned the wheel (which controls where the needle is) until the needle threader bar was straight (approximately 1/2 way between the needle being all the way down and all the way up). Turned on the machine and the threader came back up again. Now back to sewing.

AUTO THREADER CAME OUT

When you activated the threader, the needle was down and the threader came off or broke.

If it is not broken, you may be able to push it back into place.

Turn off the power and tip the machine back on some towels so it does not slip and with a flash light check the area where it fits and see if you can get it back into position.

If not, will have to thread the needle the old fashion way.

Check with your Brother dealer to see if they can look at the machine while you wait.

They may be able to get it back together or they will have to replace the threader.

It is possible they will have one in stock, or they may have to order it.

Does this machine have a low shank --- or high shank?

High Shank Machines are all the Janome Embroidery models MC 8000, MC 9000, 10000, 10001, 11000, 200E, 300E, 350E....etc
If yours is not an embroidery machine, it has a LOW SHANK .....the higher shank allows for easier access for the embroidery hoop

Kenmore 19606 Auto Threader

I have this machine also. Make sure your needle has been placed the right way around w/flat of back needle to back entry port. Also raise the needle up to the highest point it will go, sometime the alighmnet is off and if this doesn't work then you may need a service call. This machine is made by Janome for Kenmore, so most Janome parts will fit yours too.
