If this is a .5-.7 cubic foot cheapy, your only source will likely be an appliance boneyard. Otherwise, check with searspartsdirect web site using the model # for replacement parts. You can also check with Emerson web site {I beieve it is part of the Funai electrical empire}
If the owner's manual doesn't offer that as an option, there are three ways: - desolder the piezoelectric element (beeper) - cut one of both of its leads - snap it out of the circuit board (see video)
Is the cubic foot size of the microwave on the name plate?? It seems that with Emerson the size relates closely to the wattage .. 0.9 cu ft is 900 watts, 1.1 cu ft is 1000 watts .. 0.7 cu ft is 700watts .. That would be the closest info I can get.
It seems as though the container has a small amount of metal embedded in it ... don't assume just because it is plastic you can put it in the microwave. Tip ... put just the plastic container in empty and try it. If the plastic get hot then it's the wrong type plastic for a microwave
I just came on the internet to search the microwave, and mine is the 900W red version and i have only had it-well less than a year, and it just stopped. No noises, just stopped while i was defrosting some chicken. What the heck. Not cool.
