I was playing with settings for DVD player and when I switched back to the radio there was no sound though the signal was strong. The only way to get the radio sound back is unplug the system for a day but there is no guarantee it will work next day. Seems I have changed something in basic settings which interfere with the radio. Any idea what could make the radio sound problem?
Is there a switch on the front panel that says speaker a speaker b you could have hit that button or turned the tpae 2 monitor button on by accident. does the receiver work well in dvd mode?

Sounds like a shorted voltage regulator. my big screen has done something similar if im understanding your problem correctly.
You will need to see a qualified technician about the problem.
Hello,
i think the switch in switching from DVD player to radio got fault. However this only suspect, Did you try opening your stuff, i know you can dare to open the stuff, try re soldered all the connections inside so that some loss connection be connected. this might be a solution however to the extent better to check your stuff personally by a repairman.
thank you for using fixya.

It tends be problem in amplifier section . Also did you upgrade firmware for your product.
Since you mentioned sounding is working some times it tends to be some loose connection in your system .Take to service center to get it repaired.
The radio signal is weak.
Auto tuning will only detect radio stations with a good
signal. For more sensitive tuning, connect an outdoor
antenna.
Static electricity or other external influences may
cause malfunctioning of this unit. In this case, unplug the
power cord and then plug back in. This will usually reset the
unit for proper operation.
Resetting the system returns all menu, picture and password
settings to their factory defaults.
Switch the system into standby using the front panel
STANDBY/ON switch. Next, hold down the front panel 7
button and switch back on. All settings will have been cleared.
This should fix this. if not, you will need to to take it in for repair.

Reset the system
Hello, I am Handyman435,
The Problem Is Probabley Not A Internal Problem But An
External Problem... the audio plug has probabley come unplugged just make sure it is in all the way...hope this helps

Hello , your radio is broke and will need replaced ! its probly heating up thanks and good luck
That is not a settings problem.
If the system works sporadically and only when you leave it unplugged for a day, that is because a power capacitor is blown.
When you leave the system unplugged for a long time you drain power completely and the system can work for a while.
The unit need to be serviced at a repair shop, the settings gets reset when you unplug the power cable. This is no settings problem.

RE: Pioneer DVD System HTZ-575DV NO SOUND FROM RADIO
I've just spent 20 minutes @ http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ and let me tell you I am not impressed! I saw a lot of links to order repair parts and/or repair service plus the site was very slow to react and gave me an error on downloading the manual!
ANYWAY....I was trying to find out, unsuccessfully I might add, if your Pioneer DVD is also a recorder! Is it?
I have an RCA 500 watt Home Theater and I can sympathize with you on the complications of the remote!
I know with my system the DVD can be playing but muted while I listen to the radio or the radio can be muted while listening to the DVD.
MAYBE you muted the radio when in the DVD mode so it may be as simple as going back to your remote getting in DVD mode and un-muting the radio as your system may be storing the mute in your remote even when you unplug the reciever!
I'd try taking the batteries out of the remote for at least a minute before doing anything else.
Hope This Is Helpful!

How'd you make out trying to remove the remote batteries?

Wow I can sympathize with you! I just looked at your manual @ http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pio/pe...
and understand why you are having so much trouble! Your system is as complicated and probably more complicated then my RCA Home Theater which I will never fully understand but don't need to. It does everything I need now so that's ok.
Your sound problem is probably just in the settings on the remote! After looking at your manual I'd try the A1, A2, and Band Buttons to get the radio sound back!
Don't feel bad you can do it if you study the manual long and hard enough!
It took me about 2 months to set up my Surround Sound for my TV from my cable box, for my DVD, and for my Radio!
I know I could use my RCA Home Theater Remote Control to Control Everything but I haven't.....I just use 4 remotes.
I truly believe this is just a Remote Control Problem since I've dealt with mine and understand the complexity of it all and your system seems even more complicated.
My advice to you is drop all other options and spend a day with your manual and your remote and I am sure you will solve the problem!
I've emailed Pioneer for further advice. You can email them @ http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/A...

Welcome to Fixya !
Since the unplugging of the system and reconnecting helped it to play for a while. I believe its the fault with the power(insided system)/speaker connections. If you have experience in handling/testing electrical equipments, Please open the system and check the connections. If not, Please go to a nearest technician to get it checked.
Thanks,
Amar
The charge will reset the settings in the unit to default. I went through the set up routine again and reset my settings to digital feed and the problem was solved.
Sir, try by configuring the settings from your dvd menu which is the radio settings were located such as enable/disable or something that your radio will function. You may contact also the PIONEER about this matter. They have an online support, email and a hotline.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,
Offhand, I am inclined to suspect a firmware glitch, Other than a manual reset, may I suggest a full hard reset? This would simply involve unplugging from the mains for an extended period of time. The idea is to discharge any stored electricity and revert the unit back to factory defaults. Of course all personal settings, preferred stations would likewise be erased.
Pls post back any developments.
Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.
Sir,
Check this link and also refer manual...
thanks
good luck
Sir,
May be the voltage fluctuations. Try to open it and clean the whole dvd player. may be the dust problem also. Check the dvd player have any reset / fuse button. If u not using 1 to 3 months it may be defective, the lens going bad. clean the lens with good cd / dvd lens cleaner. all the parts related to radio.Â

Hi..In the basic settings unknowingly you
might have changed the settings for the
radio. You might have turned off the volume
of FM keeping the dvd alone turned on.Make
sure you are turning on the both option.

Usually answered in minutes!
Sorry, if there was a "wire issue" it would never play but it does... when I unplug it for awhile :) When I turn it off then the next day the sound is gone. Anyway, what the wires do you think must be checked? Speakers work for DVD, antenna gives strong and stable signal, the power is on...
Thanks,
Alex.
That was the first thing I did but it didn't help. The only way to get the manufacture settings back is to unplug the system. The problem is that the next day I'm loosing the sound again.
I will, thanks.
Thanks for the link, I'll try it.
What do you mean "the charge"? I'd love to drop any settings and reset it from scratch. The problem is that even unplugged unit keeps some settings.
This idea makes sens! I'll try it. Speaking of the manual, there is not too much about the radio. I've got through it first and found nothing helpful :(
Makes sens, I'll try this!...
Sorry, doesn't work :( I have replaced batteries and... no difference. Funny, sometimes the sound gets back with no reason and then goes away again...
The signal is strong, I can see it.
Guess, I have to bring it to service :(
You're right about 'wasting time'. Thanks. Shall I accept your solution? :)))
Thank you, sir.
I have spent already 2 weekends playing with the remote and the device, reading the manual of course. A few times I got the sound back and kept it muting instead of turning off :)... then it's gone again. Gonna bring it to the service for cleaning at least.
Thank all of you for trying to help, I appreciate it very much.
