My power went off and when it cames back on and i went and turned on the tv it came on with a good picture but after a minute a black box appeared at the bottom of the screen about 3 inches high and 10 inches long . It stays on unless you change channels and it pops off and then in a few seconds it appears again and stays there You cant see all the bottom of the picture. If you hit a buttom it goes off but then comes back on I have tried every thing I can think of please help

This is the closed captioning, even though it may not contain writing in the block. If you can access the main menu then you can try and turn the CC to off. Otherwise you are stuck with it.

Great solution!! I went into the main menu and turned off the captions. The black box no longer appears blocking my view. Thanks.
