Beko OFT12300X double oven top oven getting exceptionally hot inside when only the bottom oven is on

When only the Bottom oven is on, the inside bottom of the Top oven is over 50degrees C. This can be a hazard if someone opens the top oven and does not realize even thought the top oven is not on, it is very hot to touch inside. This is a new oven installed about a month ago. It has been like this from new. It also has a very strong when it is on. The service engineer said the smell would disappear after a couple of days and the high temperature inside the Top Oven when not on is normal. Can you help ?

I know of nothing unusual about this, the oven vents some through the top burner.

SOURCE: bottom oven of dacor double oven

I found the lower circuit breaker had been tripped. That didn't fix the problem but upon further inspection whoever had worked on the unit years ago had dropped a screwdriver that had lodged between the oven wall and the rear casing and shorted out the lower heating element. I removed the screwdriver and oven works fine now. I don't think that will solve the cmmclow problem but maybee the curcuit breaker is tripped.

SOURCE: GE monogram double oven display getting extremely hot

Usually the knob type controls uses the bulb for temperature regulation. There is usually only one adjustment available - otherwise the thermostat has to be replaced. - that dial with the temperature graduations on it. the whole unit - the bulb in the oven is connected to it.

Frigidaire PLEB30T8CCB Double wall oven - heating to temp, but not maintaining.

Your wiring diagram and parts schematics are here in the link below. Normally the bottom element does glow read hot after a couple of minutes. Broil elements last a lot longer because they aren't used as much. There is only one Control Board. If I was guessing, I would say the temperature sensor is at fault. Elements either work, or they don't, but you can easily test continuity with a meter. Many parts are discontinued.

Candy Built in double fan oven bottom oven not getting hot

Cheak the coils. Do a continuity test also look for signs of an electrical short(small scorched area) and clean the contact where the coil attaches to the appliance.

Dacro Wall oven (electric) does not heat past 345 degrees on bake or convection bake but broiler works and bottom oven works fine (for bake, convection bake and broil).

it could be the oven temp sensor rod located near the top of the inside of the oven,or possibly the bake element has a hot spot on the element and can no longer pass enough current thru this spot to correctly heat to your settings a hot spot on the element will look discolored in this area

Oven not getting hot

I would recommend checking the circuit breakers, assuming that there is a 230 volt supply for the heater elements. If that is OK you might have a bad heater element.

Beko DVC5622X bottom oven wont heat up

This tutorial will show you how to check your Beko element and how to replace your Beko cooker element.
Here are the 3 main faults to look for in your oven or cooker that is not heating
1.Your Beko oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Beko manual.
2.If your Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. With grills the thermostat light should come on there should be heat, if not then this could be the grill element or the thermostat.
3.When you turn the oven on, the household electrical supply trips on the Rcd (this is the earth trip in the fuse board sometimes called the breaker tripping) your fan oven element has gone to earth and needs replacing. If this helped you why not get me a beer?

Have Whirlpool Electric Double Oven, but only the top is self-cleaning, how do I clean the bottom oven - it has sticky cooked on mess on bottom of oven and book says to "just wipe clean" ????

You have to clean the bottom part with "Easy Off" Oven cleaner. You can buy this at the grocery store and there are now easy instructions on the can of a cold or hot oven directions.

It is easy and you CAN do this so please let us know when you get this cleaned out. And happy holidays to you, too! :>)

Maytag double oven-top cleans itself-bottom reads unavaiable?

Either BOTH cannot clean at the same time b/c they heat to 700deg and use alot of power, OR the 'Door secure' signal from the bottom oven is not getting to the controller. I suspect if that is the case, the switch is on the inside of the door, activated by the LOCK lever moving into locked position. It may be a beny switchlever, mis-adjusted LOCK lever or solenoid or disconnected wire.

If you leave the TOP open and force a clean, does the bottom lock and do nothing? (My other theory)
