under the skirt somewhere close to the spa pack us usually a drain or some sort. they usually look like a 1/2" hose with a tiny 1/2" twist valve on the end of the tubing.
Behind one of your access panels there is a pvc tube that has a square end on it that would the place to drain unscrew that plug and let er rip. Good Luck....
get a bb gun an some rat traps and some raid, if you live in the country this going to happen find out where they are coming in at and close it off and unless you built your house out of "nuts" it shouldnt be problem to keep such retarded animals at bay
Vita Spa is now out of business, so contacting the factory isn't a option. You can try googling for an online manual download. They usually cost between $10 and $15.
Simple way is put a hose in it and syphone the water out. You will have to fill the hose with water, put your hand over the end and get that end out of the tub to a place lower than the water level, let the water go ...
Next best is get a pump and pump it out ... costs $
There is probably a drain on the bottom ... they are generally pretty slow.
The Fantasy has a drain located in the toekick of the spa. You have to first remove the drain cap, attach a hose if you wish, spin the outer black ring counter clockwise to start the water flow, then pull the outer ring out away from the tub to increase the drain to full flow. I understand that a screw driver is often needed to pull the outer ring out to achieve full flow. Therefore, I suggest another method. Take a garden hose and place it in front of the jet while the spa jets are on. This will force water flow thru the hose and prime the hose. Once you see water running from the other end of the hose, drop the hose in front of the spa jet into the footwell and as long as the loose end is lower than the end in the footwell, a siphon will drain the spa as fast as the spa drain will. Remember to turn off electric to the spa once you have established a siphon. You may have to bucket the last bit of water in the footwell. Goodluck.
there will be the same amount of basic maintenance on either spa. The difference will be in water chemistry. you definitely want an ozone generator on either spa. Both are awesome Mfg of spas. they both have been around since the 1980's Ozone will keep the water cleaner, fresher smelling and reduce the total amount of traditional chemicals used in any hot tub. There are many other solutions for taking care of water chemistry out there without using the traditional types. some are all natural.
