Display doesn't display info....just bright light

I have a CDX-FW570. CD/Radio all works fine, but I don't get a display. I can't change colors nor read any text as there isn't any. No clock, radio station, cd info etc. The screen is like a very bright light. I have been reading over manuals and I can't figure out why this happened nor how to fix it. Can anyone give me some advice on what to do....is this a code issue?

Have you tried resetting the unit? Remove faceplate and push the reset button with a ball point pen. If it's a bluetooth model there is a different procedure.

Sony CDX-FW570: sound only from one speaker on radio. Both speakers work on CD. Checked that mono/stereo function was on stereo. All wires are connected correctly.

Sounds like a bad unit. If it's still under warranty, contact customer support or call a local electronics repair shop for more information.

I hooked up my Sony cdx m-600, all works fine but radio does not work. at all. Why?

make sure the unit is hooked to the antenna correctly. This unit will not play the radio and will disable the static noise on the radio. So ensure the antenna is properly hooked in. For more info on how to use the deck click here for the manual. got this directly off sony's website for model cdx m-600. So let me know if that it is properly hooked up and we can figure out where to go from there.

Stereo wiring codes

if you take a 9v battery, and touch it to the speaker wires, you can find out which wire goes to which speaker, OR you need only 3 wires ( memory, power, ground) to power the radio, then you should be able to figure out which are the speakers, or attach a speaker, and use fader and balance to figure out which channell that is on the radio

CDX changer has power but doesn't want to eject after flat battery

i resolved this myself in the end.
I unplugged the audio & power cables whilst the stereo and engine was running.
Then plugged back in.
I turned the engine off and stereo off as well.
I then unplugged audio and power again from the back of the CDX, left it unplugged for 10 minutes whilst the engine was still off.
I then plugged the leads back in and turned the engine on. the stereo recognised the CDX, but stayed on displaying "CD Checking". I switched to radio for 20 seconds, turned back to CDX and it selected CD 1 and has been good ever since.

I'm rather pleased with myself!
