We use to have the DSL WindStream Internet service for a week or so until the family got rid of the service and back to using the NetZero DialUp, Unfortanly I don't like DialUp and my Laptop is WiFi use and I hooked my Belkin Router to the DSL modem to have WiFi and plus my Laptop don't have any Modem ports, there out of date, only a Ethernet Port, And it would take me days just to download a 30MB file on dialup!!
They got rid of the service because the web pages stopped loading and the downloads would download for a few min, and then stop.
Does anyone know why this was happening and how to fix it so I could have the DSL service back.
normally since it has usb and ethernet in one modem, it will divide the bandwith of your current speed.. i would suggest for you to use router so u can assign ip in both computers
dude i have the same problem but the only wany u can fix that is getting a new one because your NAT is set to Struct and to play some of the games like Halo 3, Saints Row 2, and other 360 games you need to have it set to open.....

Try power turning off once and if still remains the problem then the problem could be with internet service provider so contact them once. and if they say we are good then you need to look at internal bugs.
for that visit following website where you can find complete service manuals.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Windstream disabled your peer-to-peer file sharing capabilities on purpose. Then they had a team of lawyers write the terms that give them many rights and give you few-to-none.
Read carefully through the "Terms of Service" and "Acceptable Use" policies, available via links on the bottom of the Windstream web site. The quoted excerpts at the bottom of this message are only a few examples of these "agreements" that they've written and that you signed off on when you got their service.
Windstream has made a numbers of things legal for themselves in their Service Agreement, and stated VERY simply they are as follows:
=- You're not allowed to share files considered illegal, such as copyrighted media.
=- You're not allowed to use a P2P client, or any other software that provides a server or sharing service.
=- You're not allowed to use software that keeps itself connected after being interrupted.
=- You're not allowed to use an IRC bot, or do anything other than simple "chat" on IRC.
=- You're not allowed to try and change their installation software or alter how it's set up.
=- If you terminate your contract early they have the right to bill you for at least $200.
=- They're allowed to investigate your actions in any way if they decide they want to.
=- They're allowed to terminate your service at any time.
=- They're allowed to bill you a minimum of $500 if you violate any of these or dozens of other restrictions.
Sorry to tell you this, but it looks as though you don't have any choice in the matter. I'm not a lawyer, but that's certainly the way it looks.
Technically speaking, the only solution to this problem would be to use an entirely separate computer for your satellite connection. This is just my personal opinion, but I wouldn't go anywhere near that installer software. To alter it or otherwise.
Sorry. Wish I could say something else to you about this... :\
