I have a Alienware desktop that will not boot, I have no video displayed. I have replaced the motherboard and I am having the same issue. My motherboard is a Intel D945gnt. When I boot the pc I dont have any error on the display or beeping errors. I have attempted to disconnect my hard drive and dvd rom and only left one stick of memory installed to troubleshoot this issue. But still have not figured this out ?

Thanks for your help. Power supply set to 115v , P4 connector & main connector are both connected to motherboard.
When I remove the Ram I get (3) long beeps but still no display. Please provide me with some general troubleshooting steps, I am at a lost. What else could cause my system not to boot to post ? Intel has already replaced the motherboard for me.
I have tested with (2) different monitors and have also attempted to use a pci video card , but still I have no display. Keep in mind this is a new motherboard from intel. I have no error beeps ! What could be causing this ? I have disconnected all other device from pc and now I just have one stick on ram connected to motheboard (dvd rom and hd are disconnected) Thanks for you help again.
Read above please .... I have tested with (2) vga cables and monitors
I have the same problem... i do everithing you said but don't boot... for me its death.
Try a different CPU and make sure the pins aren't bent on your CPU that your using now.
Does your power supply have the p4 connector on it plus the main connector that goes to the motherboard? If so maybe try connecting both the main connector and the P4 connector to the motherboard and make sure the power supply is set to 115v and NOT 230V
Have you checked , by connecting another display to the system .
