Fostex MR 8 HD\CD adding treble and bass?

It APPEARS that the MR8 does NOT include the ability to EQ. They have delay effects and the like built in, but no EQ.

To answer your question then, you would need to have an EXTERNAL EQ unit and loop the vocal through that unit to do EQ to do it right.

When mastering, the "powerful/natural/and bright would be filters that will emphasize the bass (powerful) or the treble (bright) but these are really not EQ's and you can ONLY choose one at a time.

I can't figure out how to adjust the bass on the JVC KD-HDR30.

Hello hawk713, Like with many other JVC receivers, adjusting the bass is done from the "EQ" (equalizer) mode for one or all of 6 presets: ROCK, CLASSIC, JAZZ, HIP HOP, POPS, and USER. To adjust it, select the desired preset mode, use the left/right rocker (on volume control) to scroll to the desired frequency, 60, 150, 400, 1K, 2.4K, 6K, and 15K, and then turn the volume control up/down to set a level from -5 to +5. 60 and 150 adjusts the bass, 400, 1K, and 2.4K adjusts the midrange, and 6K and 15K adjusts the treble. Then you select whichever EQ setting sounds best with the particular music you're playing. Hope this helps.

Bass/Treble balance on Bose Lifestyle 5

You need to go into your menu and set the "MOVIE EQ" to your liking. That is where your bass/treble balance is on a Lifestyle system.

Having Trouble Accessing Bass and Treble Controls

Only parametric EQ OR Bass/Treble can be active at a time. There is a option to set which one you want, refer to manual. Follow this- Adjusting Sound Setting Mode (long press "sound-mode" button) -> EQ SELECT-> select either P. EQ or B/T

Best settings on a 9 band eq for rock and r&b

Provided the rest of your system is all tuned an in proper shape, and up for the wattts, the best sound to set, starting with the low end...start with is a slightly elevated above zero (about 1/4 up from zero) then slowly gradually slope it down to 1/4 below zero in middle and then back up to 1/4 above at the high end.

The result is a gently curved V type shape.

Now, knock down the highest 2 or 3 freq bands a few clicks till they are just above zero. (1/8).

This is the curve you would shoot for with a real-time analyzer for SQ, punch and clarity.

Setting low pass and bass eq

Hello, i have a hifonics brutus also, in the manual it states to set the eq at half way, so that there is no clipping or at least to prevent clipping , the eq will make the bass punchier, if you do go pass half way, i would recommend to readjust your gain settings, also check your head unit settings and make sure everything is flat, bass, mid bass etc. example i had my eq past half but i had my gain at mid way, it was hitting hard, then i tried turning the eq all the way down and the turning up the gain and the bass was smoother so it depends where you set it, and what settings you have on your head unit tone control (bass, treble etc)
