There are 4 types: organic, granular, synthetic, and water soluble.

the following information is quoted from the website listed below:

Organic fertilizers are made from natural ingredients and have a slow release, meaning that the materials in these fertilizers must be broken down by soil microorganisms for the gradual release of nitrogen and other elements. Dry, granular fertilizers are the most popular type and work by releasing small quantities of nutrients each time the plant is watered. Water-soluble fertilizers are easy to apply and make nutrients immediately available to plants. Synthetic fertilizers act fast and provide an immediate greening effect, although the effects may be shorter lived.

  • Organic fertilizers contain lower nutrient levels than other types of fertilizers
  • Organic fertilizers are the least likely to cause "fertilizer burn" on plants
  • Granular fertilizers work well for vegetables and perennials
  • Use water-soluble fertilizers with annuals and container plants
  • Synthetic fertilizers are easier to transport and are less bulky than organics

Is there any company providing garden fertilizing service in Canberra?

Garden Fertilizing Canberra - Just like us plants need food to stay healthy. Food for plants comes in the form of fertilizers.
Fertilizers are a range of chemical or mineral products that release nutrients necessary for plant growth. There are two main types of fertilizers - chemical (inorganic) or mineral (organic) fertilizers.
Chemical fertilizers are added to the soil as liquids or solids and are specifically designed and formulated for a specific purpose such as to increase plant fertility and promote growth. Mineral or organic fertilizers are natural and are derived from plants and animals such as manure and seaweed and can be used as general soil improvers.
Fertilizers are necessary as they add nutrients to the soil whereby combatting any deficiencies that there may be in the natural soil such as inadequate levels of nitrogen, potassium and phosphorous which can affect the plants health and growth.
Every plant requires different nutrients at different stages throughout its growth cycle. There are a diverse range of fertilizers all with differing quantities of minerals that provide either instant or slow release times dependant upon what each plant requires. For best results when using fertilizers always read the label and apply only as directed.

Depending on the species of insect you have. There's a few different types of poisons for certain types of insects, There's "Milky Spore" for grubs to name one. Inspect your lawn for more of one type of caterpillar and/or moths and do a Google image of that bug to find the right solution to your problem.

How many gallons per acre

Boy, I hate to state the obvious, but did you read the directions? It will depend on which roundup product (there are many, many different ones) your using, what type of sprayer, and what type of weeds your treating. If your directions are missing, or your not sure how to interpret something, I recommend going to any home depot, lowes, ace hardware, etc, and ask them for help. Good Luck!

I have a Republic EZ drop fertilizer spreader. The gray plastic device (2 pieces, one screwed inside the other) up by the push handle that rotates to widen or narrow the slot at the bottom of the fertilizer storage bin when the handle is squeezed is broken. The cable connecting the device to the movable part of the slot is OK. The gray plastic has numbers on it that show through a small square opening in the gray plastic closest to the push handle. Where can I get a replacement part?
