SOURCE: how fast should the boat go to tow a wakeboarder?

to first get the wakeboarder up and out of the water, punch the throttle. once he is up, the drag is quickly reduced. then you should basically just play with speed and trim until you get the boat planing and get the wake as big as possible

What does the width of a wakeboard affect?

It affects how high the wakeboard sits in the water.
wikipedia further explains:
there are three places to check wakeboard widths: tips and tails - those are generally the same - and in the middle. Narrower tips and tails sit lower and make the wakeboard turn more aggressively. Wider tips and tails allow for more surface tricks, and a better release for spins off the wake. However, the main variable that changes with the width of the middle of the wakeboard is the height that can be gained off the water - the wider the middle of the board, the higher it will sit in the water and the harder it will bounce off the wake.

A wakeboard tower allows your boat to have more hang time, it can be used for extra space to put wakeboard equipment (ie. racks, speakers), and it can be served for support when walking around the boat.

How do you do a 360 in the air on a wakeboard?

cut fast in at the wake. i ride goofy (left foot forward) and prefer to spin counter-clockwise with the front of my body starting facing the boat. when you launch off the wake, immediately start to spin your body. the key part is to pass the handle behind your back from one hand to the other (for me, from right hand to left). you can practice first without jumping, just to get used to passing the handle. once you have the handle in the other hand, you just have to land with your board in a direction where your momentum will not make you fall

What is powerboating?

From Wikipedia: Power boating describes activities performed in a motorized boat. Generally, a power boat has a high power-to-weight ratio and a hull design that allows for easy planing, which allows for higher speed and improved handling. Also, the shape of the actual boat is usually very streamlined, which minimizes air resistance and drag, therefore increasing speed. Power boats are often used recreationally, includingwaterskiing and wakeboarding.

Powerboating appeared as an event in the 1908 Olympics.

In my boat is a Clarion CMD6 head unit with two rear CMQ1620R speakers, it distorts at medium to high volume, you cant turn it up load when going.Wishing to put two new speakers in the front, cannot cut...

Best bet is to take your boat to a qualified Marine Audio dealer (generally not a boat repair shop or marina), or to a good quality Car audio store that is insured to work on boats (separete insurance usually).
When it comes to boats, you need lots of power and speakers.
First thing to do is make sure what you have is properly installed. Then determine what is "distorting" .. is it too much base, purely volume or what.
Most boats we do (wakeboard style and river boats) we do: 40-75 watts RMS per speaker 4-6 speakers in boat 1 10" or 12" sub with 200-300 watts RMS Tower speaker if requested with 75-125 Watts RMS per speaker
