Samsung ElectronicsMar 12, 2013 - There are four cases in which your TV either turns itself off or appears to turn itself off. These cases are listed in the following table by category.
Hold the power button for for 15-20 seconds. The ps3 will cycle through all the video modes until it finds a correct connection. It should automatically change its settings to HDMI and you should get video.
The television is doing that because it was either the display model at a store or when it was set up store mode instead of home mode was selected. What needs to be done is for the intial setup to be redone with home being selected instead of store. The tv resets to dynamic for optimal viewing when on display next to other televisions in a store.
I had the same problem with my Samsung series 6 32" Lcd. After many hours of trying different settings and banging my head on the wall I found the solution. What the problem is your VGA cable not supporting the high resilotion of your Samsung TV. The simple solution is to buy a new VGA cable that supports HD. Take a look at this site you need something like this one! Hope this helps.....C
Firstly connect your home theatre outpu HDMI to HDMI input1 on the TV. Then connect the PS£ HDMI to the other HDMI input on the TV. Now connected the optical cable from the PS3 to the optical input of the home cinema system. Your should now have surround sound from the PS3 and DVD.
