SOURCE: HP Pavillion zt1135 laptop RAM BIOS battery

For replacing RAM on your notebook, you can refer the service manual provided below: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/lpi06056.pdf Refer page no: 87 to 91. NOTE: PDF manuals require the Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing and printing. Further, I have verified the complete manual but couldn?t find the location of the BIOS battery. If you experience any inconvenience, I recommend you to contact Authorized Service Provider.

SOURCE: I downgraded my HP pavilion DV6000 series laptop

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. Use Device Manager to verify that your sound device has a driver installed. To do so, follow these steps:
    1. Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
    2. Click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
    3. Expand Sound, video and game controllers, and then verify that your sound device is listed.
  2. If no sound device driver is installed, use Microsoft Windows Update to see if a driver is available.

Note Windows Server 2003 may disable the Microsoft Dynamic Update Service. To manually see if Microsoft Windows updates are available, visit the following Microsoft Web site: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/
  3. After you verify that you have the correct sound driver installed, you may have to enable the Windows Audio service. To do so, follow these steps:
    1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc in the Open box, and then click OK.
    2. In the Services Management Console, double-click Windows Audio service.
    3. In the Startup type list, select Automatic, click Start, and then click OK.
Note By default, this step applies to all versions except Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition.

I insert another ram memory at the back portion of my unit, when i turn on the unit...no power! but when i remove the one i inserted, there is power, what is the problem, pls help me, thanks

The second RAM module you inserted is incompatible with the other RAM module.
I suggest you use the same RAM manufacturer as the first RAM module, make sure the RAM speed is the same as the first RAM module.

I have an HP Pavilion zt1135 that hasn't been used in about 3 years. I turned it on this morning and it powered up fine. I updated the windows today and after reboot it just keeps recycling trying to...

Welcome to the world of microosft updates. You need to go into recovery mode. Just after the Bios/CMOS screen passed basically just after the HP logo disappears, start to press rapidly the F8 key. A menu will appear. Choose boot from last good configuration. That should solve it. I would recommend that you only take updates from a roll up pack or service pack. That normally stops the problems

How to repair the left click button on HP Pavilion ZT1135

Hey,
I had the same problem. It is pretty easy to fix. You have one of two options to follow.
1) Push down moderately hard on the left mouse button. After 2 mins or so, and the cap should back on to the button on the bottom
2) if number 1 doesn't work get a needle or pin and lift the left mouse button off. Then just apply very little, not even a drop, maybe half of a drop to the button and apply the cap back on and push down.
