ERROR F11 (Whirlpool Duet GHW9300)

if its a Kenmore model then this message says that the button control board has lost sight of the main control board , but its been my experience that this maybe able to be reset and it may never come back or it will not reset and the control board will need replaced (50/50)

The F11 code means that the CCU (central control board) and MCU (motor control board) aren't communicating properly. This can be caused by poor contacts between the wires in the wiring harness and one of the boards. Someone reported a simple fix of carefully adding solder to thicken the contact area on the board where the wiring harness plugs onto the board.

First unplug the washer. You need to check the wiring for any broken conductors. Try wiggling the wiring harness on both sides to see if that helps the connection stabilize. If wiggling works, then the solder solution may work. Warning: make sure to keep the new layer of solder directly on top of the previous contacts. If the solder spreads sideways, you can short the unit. Otherwise, the solution is to replace the CCU. If that doesn't solve the error, Whirlpool recommends replacing the MCU.

F11 Error Code for Whirlpool Duet & Duet HT :

F11 is Serial Communication Error, communication between the central control and the motor control unit cannot be sent correctly.

Check all connectors at the motor control and the Main control, check the motor, check drive system for any worn or failed components.

This is the only F11 Error code I could find for a washer.

these error codes are not specific FDL can mean door latch failure .it can also mean the ccu board has failed also F11 can mean mean anything from motor to motor control board to ccu board to wiring harness connecting ccu to mcu to motor. if you do not know how to diagnose with out error code you may end up buying wrong part. sometimes doorlatch is not problem central control board CCU is

Well du is a door lock error but it can also mean an error with communication to the main control board or ccu. f11 is also a communication error in either the ccu or the mcu ( motor control board)......easiest thing to try is to unplug all your connections to the ccu and plug them back in and try it again.....sometimes a wire harness just may be loose....if that dosent work I would look at replacing the ccu ( central control unit )
