Try pressing the Pearl Button or the windows button in your keyboard + P. The display options will show up, just select the extend or duplicate.

First off, is the tv set to use the hdmi input? if not, change tv to hdmi input and try again. If still no good, you likely need to tell the laptop to use the hdmi connector. Try this:

  1. connect hdmi from laptop to tv and select hdmi input on tv.
  1. while holding the blue fn key (bottom left side of kbd) press and release the F5 key. This will toggle the laptop between the laptop lcd display, external connectors (vga/hdmi), or both simultaneously. Let me know if this works or not.....

Hi,
First of all your TV should support both HDMI and VGA.
If it does lets start with HDMI as you will get audio through the HDMI cable.
Connect the HDMI cable to the TV and set the source on the TV to HDMI using your remote control, connect the other end to the laptop, hold down Fn and hit F5 to toggle between screens.

go into control pannel and acer hd set it there and also in sound, a wee bit of trial and error but its there. mine was the same, it cost me ouch on the phone! good luck mine works ok

Hold down Fn and tap F5, you may have to tap F5 a couple of times to get it to switch screens.

You connect the phone to a computer using the USB cable that came with the phone. If the computer has windows 7 or 8, it will read your phone straight away.
Open My computer and you will see the phone memory showing there. Open that and look for a folder named as DCIM. Open this folder and you will see another folder - Camera. Your photos are in there so copy them onto the computer like any other files.

You can also use the Bluetooth function if you have a laptop that has blue tooth.

Plug a monitor to the vga port or a tv onto the hdmi port and start the laptop.
Still blinking but you can use it through the other screen?
->Cable inside the machine for the lcd screen damaged.
If you don't see anything on the second screen try CTRL+F4 to mirror the main screen if nothing happen then the video module is dead.

You are actually well on your way. Depending upon the make and model of your television an HDMI cable is all you will need. The rest of the process will require you to go into your control panel on your laptop and using your remote for your television. I have put together the steps necessary to connect your laptop to your television
  1. Connect HDMI cable to HDMI Connection on back or side of your television ( remember if you use HDMI 1 thru 4, you will need to remember it)
  2. Turn on Laptop and let boot. Loggin using your user name and password if you have one.
  3. Turn on television
  4. On your television remote press the HDMI button for the Connector you used, example ( HDMI 1, HDMI2, HDMI3, HDMI4) You will see a no signal on the screen until you get the right one, Once you have the right HDMI connection it will say Acquiring Signal then you will see your Desktop on your computer on your television.
  5. From here it is a matter of getting the screen resolution right for the best possible viewing experience.
