Lost origional Memory Card for my sat nav

I have lost my origional memory card for my sat nav and now my navigator won't work and my maps are unavailable, I have tried to copy everything from another origional sat nav memory card to a new memory card but this doesn't work either. Please help I don't want to have to buy a whole new sat nav because of this.

Copy the new maps onto the SD card be sure that the card has enough space on it. ( you might need a SD Card reader ) copy the old maps onto your PC before deleting the SD card, copy all the data into the root folder of your sat nav. hope this helps

I need help installing a map onto a gramin sat nav

No. They are refering to maps sent from the computer to the Garmin device. Maps are not transferred off the SD card to the unit. Simply insert the SD card into the device and the Garmin will read the maps from the card.
to double check follow these steps

Power on the unit with the card in
Press Tools
Press Settings
Press Map
Press Info (or map info)

This page should list out both your UK and Ireland maps(old as dirt) and your new Benelux and France maps as well

Serial number on memory card of TomTom??

Yes it does. Insert the card into a card reader or if you have access to the unit connect it to your computer. Open my computer and open the drive letter of the device. After you have opened the drive look for a ttgo.bif or ttgo.bak file open the file using notepad and it will tell you the device serial number and device unique id. I will tell you this though if their device is working and is not freezing at start up they are not using your sd card. Each sd card has a unique number and will only work with that device.
