Will not start properly RCA D52W17

After sitting for a few hours. I turn it on and get the on light three times. Problem is getting worse. Can take up to 15 minutes of pushing the on button for it to start. After that it is fine. Second problem is I lost channel three with just a coxial cable. Had a TV repair shop tell me to use component cables, works fine. Nice TV and just moved to rural Idaho with no shops near by. Thanks, Gary i have replaced the cp 150 and still getting the three beeps and no picture what else can i do

There is a cap behind a heatsink on the Deflection board I believe it is CP150 or 180 which is a 2200uf/35v

Replace CP150 , CP120 and CP114 that should take care of the Issue of hard to power up. You can get the replacement capacitors at the following link with free instructions.

You have a capacitor that has gone bad on the HV power supply board on the left side, the number is cp150.It sits behind an aluminum heat sink in the middle towards the front, it will probably be bulged at the top. Along with that since the board will be tilted up I would re- older all the connections on the HV transformer, that's the critter with the red lead coming out of it. Your done!

Thanks for using FixYa. 3 blinks in your RCA D52W17 rear projection are caused due to 3 capacitors (CP114, 120 and 150) which are located on the deflection board. If any of these capacitors goes bad you’ll have to replace them with the exact same ones. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

RCA D52W17 wont come on, the green power light goes on and off three times then stays off.

On deflection board CK capacitor cp 150 2200uf 16v use 25v if i is puffed up on top it is Bad replace 2 more caps in same circuit cp114 cp120 220uf 35v for parts call Mats 1-800-628-1118

Does it eventually turn on? if not, you may have a bad capacitor in the power supply.

1995 rca 52 inch tv...

Please post the model number of your RCA as usually its a bad flyback and start up capacitor when you get a 3 blink error code . But I can help you better if I have the model number of your set.

RCA D52W17 won't stay on.

Possiblility include bad convergence cuircit. A component that is overheating and bad solder connections.. Technicians can use special equipment to read error codes... this will tell them the error that is shutting it down

If the light cycles on three time the micro is working but there is something shuting it down.a This is not clear cut it would need to be troubleshot. You need to call a tech.
