The iPod's shuffle feature lets you randomize playback of albums, songs or even your entire music library. You may also find this feature useful if you want to listen to forgotten tracks in your library or discover songs you haven't listened to yet. Disabling the shuffle feature will return playback of a song list to its standard consecutive order. You can enable and disable the shuffle feature at any time.

Navigate to the main menu. Select "Settings." Scroll to the "Shuffle" option. Select "Songs" or "Albums." If you select "Songs," the iPod Classic will shuffle the songs on whatever song list you listen to. If you select "Albums," the iPod Classic will play all songs of an album you select in order and then randomly select another album. Navigate to the playlist or album to which you want to listen. Play a song to initiate the shuffle. b> iPod Nano and iPod Touch Tap the "Songs" icon on your nano home screen. If you are using an iPod Touch, open the "iPod" application. Navigate to the song list, playlist or album you want to play. Tap the "Shuffle" icon at the top of the list to activate the feature.

Press and hold the center button while holding down the menu button. This will reboot your Ipod. Check your IPod cable to see if its shorted. If might have transferred a song and crash in the middle of the transfer.

SOURCE: Deleting songs from Ipod Nano 8GB

When you connect the ipod nano to the computer, you can do one of two things: you can go to the ipod's main home page in itunes and go to the bottom where it will have four options listed. 1 of them should say manually manage files. Click on the check box next to it and it should ask you if you are sure and click yes. Then go into your music folder of your ipod and delete the songs you don't want on there. To add music, all you have to do is click and drag what you want onto the oped. The second way you could do it is to go into your library before connecting your nano to your computer and un-checking all of the boxes next to the music you do not want on your nano and then connect it to a computer and let it sync. The first way is easiest and less time consuming as you only have to do it once. Hope this helps!

I could spend a lot of time describing how you heat round the screen, pry it off, move battery, remove 2 screws holding button assembly, relocate or shim button and reassemble it, but it's easier to point you at someone else's good work and some videos (thanks to those people)

6th gen nano cuts off while playing. Are there any fixes?

Hello bornin63,
Please try restoring the firmware using iTunes. This issue is because of either corrupt firmware or issues with the hardware, such as the board or the battery.

If the issue persists even after restoring, then let me know. I'll try my best to assist you.

My ipod nano keeps playing the same song over and over, even on shuffle.

The shuffle setting is essentially random, which does _not_ mean that you won't hear the same song again until all other songs play. You might even hear the same song twice in a row, I suppose.

Are you hearing the same group of songs, and your other songs _never_ play?

If you scroll manually to a song that you haven't heard, and start play from there, does it revert to that same group songs, or play on to others?

All else failing, have you tried to restore your iPod?

Have you tried changing the playback settings in your iTunes preferences? You should be able to adjust the setting to make it _less_ likely for songs to repeat. I don't know how that would transfer to the iPod..

Hope this message can be fix to your ipod nano.

When my ipod nano chromatic didn't allow me to sync it to the computer, I restored it and after restoring it, it would shuffle on it's own and sometimes pick songs that I didn't pick and wouldn't allow me...

The iPhone has a feature that you can "Shake to Shuffle". Is it possible that the new iPod nano has this 'feature' also?

Try going to Settings > Playback. The 6th option should be able to turn "Shake to Shuffle" off.

Ipod shuffle is not playing countinous, only shuffle status. how do i fix this

On the other side of the on/off switch there is another switch that allows you to choose playing songs in order or to shuffle. There is no way to make a song play continuously.

Turn repeat off in the menu.
Setting iPod nano to Repeat Songs

IPod Shuffle problem

Though I do not have a ipod shuffle, it sounds like you set it to run on "sample" which is a setting to play only a few seconds of the song then stop, are you using any other program besides itunes?
