Dryer stops after just 15 seconds of running and the lights begin to flash that are below the start/pause button . The dryer is heating, but will not continue running until you have pushed cancel and then start again about three different times. There is also a clicking sound coming from the backside of the dryer that does not sound right. I don't think the dryer should be making this sound. Please help!!!
Stop what you are doing. It is under warranty. This will be more costs and it is not necessary. It is a mfr problem.
If this isn't a new dryer but I have the same exact problem, what do you think could be causing it?
I believe the t'stat is bad just from the sound of it. It has a high limit control on it that keeps it from overheating. That is the design of a high limit control. If it doesn't function properly, then the result is either shutting off prematurely or worse not shutting off if it gets too hot. This is a blessing in
disguise. If not the hi limit, then something is wrong with the computer board. Thankfully, you are under warranty. As far as the clicking sound, it could be the drum is not set right or the belt that drives it could be too tight or loose. Without hearing the sound, that would be my guess. Call where you bought it from and put it on them. This should be covered.
Good luck, Bill
