What does E 15 mean on an under the counter Bosch dishwasher?

It keeps running. I press on and off but it just keeps on and on. Originally, it told me I needed more rinse finisher - I added it but the error message continued. It appears that the dishes are clean but I keep getting the error message and the dishwasher keeps running (almost 24 hrs., now!!!)

    Hi.
E15 error is a flooding error in the base pan. It can be as simple as to much washing powder to a leaking wash pump or sump hose. Tilt the dishwasher back on angle of about 20 degrees and watch the water fall onto the floor. This will allow the dishwasher to run properly again. Monitor the soap powder by putting less in. If it still happens again then there is a leak somewhere and requires further diagnosing.
    Cheers

Had the same problem.
there is water in the base of the machine, and all that is happening now is the pump to drain the machine is working. If you can manage this next bit physically, the quick temporary solution is to turn the machine off at the mains, empty the machine of contents, and in my case, I had to pull the machine out, and drain the machine by tipping it about 45 degrees by lifting the front of the machine. The water will drain out the back of the machine ( I managed to place some cardboard underneath the machine to soak it up) and once drained of the small amount of water, let the machine go level again.
when I turned the machine back on, it functioned normally again for a while.
eventually had to call in a repairman, as it continued to malfunction every couple of weeks. In my case his initial diagnosis of a split container was wrong, and after he took the left hand side of the dishwashing machine off, he has found that the hard water has clogged a component which needs replacing.
i got the quick fix method on YouTube, either by typing the E15 Bosch dishwasher fault on google, or going directly to you tube.
Good luck!

SOURCE: Our Bosch SHU43C Built-in Dishwasher sticks in the drying cycle.

I have the same dishwasher and started experiencing the same problem last week. It is now fixed (at least for the moment). Here's what I did first. I checked the drain pan under the machine for water(none), the heater for continuity(okay), the float for binding(none), and the float switch for proper functioning(okay). I tried turning the ckt breaker off for a couple of hours to see if that would reset the control module(no effect). I then dissasembled the front door and removed the control module. I had previously read about the common problem of a cold solder joint on the heater relay pin on the control board. My heater was working and the joint looked good but I resoldered it anyway. I reassembled everything and it worked perfectly! My conclusion is that it was either a cold solder joint that was somehow causing the problem or a connector issue that got resolved during my disassembly/reassembly. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Bosch SHX Dishwasher keeps beeping when it is finished.

If you wish to eliminate or reduce the volume of the end of cycle beep you can do so by powering off the unit and turning back on while holding the right button “Cancel/Reset”. The beep has 3 volumes levels and silent, press the right “Cancel/Reset” button to cycle through the settings. Power the unit back off to save you setting.

There is a recall on the control board of many of these models. I have written a guide to help. It is here. Look for the phone number near the top.

SOURCE: Bosch SHX33A runs continuously. Never finishes cycle.

I have a guide here to walk you through the process of clearing the drain system. You most likely have a clog somewhere and the dishwasher can't proceed because it would cause it to flood.

The problem is hard water. Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com and get their new product. It filters the water and takes out the hard minerals that cause spots and clog dishwashers. It is very affordable and has a money back guarantee.

How do i run a test / diagnostic mode for the bosch sge63e05uc (evolution series) dishwasher?

Are the instructions on how to run the diagnostic test listed in the manual? FYI, I couldn't run the test on my Bosch DW because it was just too broken. Over the years the dishwasher essentially fried its own circuit board with excessive heat, which I learned is a problem common to Bosch DW's. Bosch told me the lifespan of my model was 10 years; mine was 11 years old (but was repaired once or twice). I replaced it with a Miele; no problems yet after 4 1/2 months.

When I press the start button, Bosch dishwasher (model SHY56A 05UC) just keep running the motor pumping the water out of dishwasher, irrespective of: 1) the wash cycle it is on, 2) whether the door is...

what is happenig i believe and has happened to me 2 times is that the water level float that is on the left side of dishwasher is stuck.

Either remove side panel and flick lever or pull dishwasher out and tap lower portion of panel and this will cause the level to move and then see hat happens

Bosch exxcel auto option - Have not run it for a couple of months. Turnit on al all it does is pump out

Hi,

The usual reason for this is that water hes leaked into the bottom of your dishwasher under the washing compartment. This has caused the float to rise and trip the switch which activates the Aqua-Stop / anti-flood protection system. This also closes the solenoid (water control valve) to stop water entering this dishwasher. You may already have had a small leak before you stopped using it.

The only way to check this is to remove the washer from under the counter (disconnect power and water supply first) and tilt it backwards about 15-20 degrees. Water should run on to the floor from under the washer so I suggest putting some old towels down first. Once the water has been drained from under the washer, you can use it again, but it's not advisable if you have a leak and this really needs to be investigated.

If there is no water from under the washer, you may have a faulty float switch or possibly a faulty control module.

Hope this helps.

My Bosch dishwasher sounds like it is running but does not clean the dishes.

check bottom of dishwasher screens for any blockages or obstruction preventing water from getting into pump. may need a wet vac to **** water out of pump and use a small mirror to inspect pump openings. if no obstruction, the pump impellor maybe broken. replacing the impellor is fairly difficult. the dishwasher has to be pulled from under the counter. repost if you further questions.

How do you adjust the height on a bosch dishwasher?

The easiest way, is with an adjustable wrench. First, make it level in both directions, and then, back out the feet until it comes to the counter top. Screw to dishwasher into the under side of the counter after you have your hoses and electric routed.

Bosch Dishwasher pump keeps emptying

Disconnect the power to the unit. Remove the lower access panels and check the tray under the dishwasher. You will probably find it is full of water. Use a towel or a sponge to remove the water. There is a float that will stop the operation of the unit and run the pump if water is in this tray. Test the unit. If there are no leaks, check the drain hose under the sink. THE DRAIN HOSE MUST RUN UP TO ABOVE THE TOP OF THE MACHINE THEN TO THE DRAIN. If the hose is not set up like this, water from the sink drain will flow into the dishwasher and overflow into the tray under it.

If there is no water in the pan under the dishwasher there may be a problem with the pressure switch at the side of the pump housing but the only way to know for sure is to do some electrical testing with a volt/ohm meter and the wiring diagram located within the appliance.

Shu5312uc bosch dishwasher

Since water doesn't drain out,it could be a clog in the drain line. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. You should remove this line and clear it form any debris in the hose or the hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again. Good luck!
