I'm having aproblem with my kirby g5 vacume i'vereplaced the gaskets and i can still smell dust when i use it

replace fan,belt and either clean ends of rollerbrush of string, hair, floss, etc or buy a new rollerbrush

It might be the belt and if it is it will be a sipmle fix. If it isn't I think It's time to bite the dust and buy new. You won't believe what you old vacuum was not sucking up and for what it would cost to repair vs buying new it would be about the same maybe cheaper.

it has a plug that attach's to the vacume itself , then that attach's to the wall, check that, try different outlets

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The best place to get a owner’s manual is from the Kirby Factory that I will listed below, they should have all the owner’s manuals from al the Kirby’s. Make sure that you include the Kirby Model # and serial # if needed. Even if you have a new belt, do everything this guide tells you to do. The seller may have the power nozzle assembled improperly. If the brushroll is in wrong or the base plate is not on correctly, it may cause these symptoms.

TURN THE BELT LIFTER IN THE FRONT CLOCKWISE UNTIL THE RED ARROWS LINE UP. NOW TURN THE LATCH AT THE TOP OF THE POWER NOZZLE AND TAKE THE NOZZLE OFF. HOOK THE HOSE EVENLY ON THE BAR BELOW THE FAN, LEAN IT UP AND LATCH IT ON WITH THE LATCH.
