I have an 8" sub woofer hooked up to a small amp. The amp powers on but the sub will not make any sound. The terminals for the sub wires that go into the amp and to the sub have not changed and are in the right location. The remote wire (spliced into the remote wire from the head unit)has also not been changed and and sub woofer feature on my head unit is on. The funny thing is that it used to work just fine. But ever since I changed the battery terminal to a gold plated one with an axillary hook up for the amp power wire, the sub has not worked. Everything is tightly connected. What could be the problem?

Thanks for the reply! I actually figured it out with some help of a voltmeter. It turns out the the ground wire was disconnected from the negative terminal on the battery. Lol. Thats why the amp was receiving a signal but not able to send one to the sub.
Hi i have a JVC head unit with DUB single channel mono block running a boxed and ported twin 12' sub box,
Now the problem is all is turning on as it should be amp turns on with head unit and off again but there is no sound comming from subs at all, this is the strange part iv had it for very short time so took it back to shop and all works fine go figure.
Have even connected head unti straight to battery and no change it seems to be something to do with RCAs or something although iv tryed like three brand new set and nothing,in the car anyways....PLEASE HELP ME.
