Roady xt Antenna Problems

I have an roady xt XM reciever. I've had it for about a year now. We have had alot of windy weather lately and the display on the roady is reading "Antenna". It will constantly cut in and out and is very annoying. I've checked my conections, the antenna, the powersupply, the dock. Everything seems to be good. Can anyone help.

I have the same problem. I use the Roady xt in my car with a cassette adapter and in my office in a SA10201 boom box. Prior to the merge I had no problem with signals in my office nor in my car.

Now at work all I get is "Antenna" and when I Aim I get a few bars which rapidly disappear. This is the same location I had the antenna pointed with no issues and great signals. The antenna wire is fine as is the connection to the boom box. Basically I rarely get a signal in the office anymore.

Again after the merge I began to get spotty signals again with the antenna positioned as before with great signals. Whats going on? Someone lose a satellite? I am about ready to switch to HD.

When it reads antenna it means there something wrong with either the connection or the antenna itself, it could be the location of the antenna or the antenna is going bad. if there is no obstructions on the car blocking the antenna i would advise purchasing a new antenna. you can get one at http://shopdelphi.com/consumers/satradio/xpressrc/

I'm having problems getting reception with the Roady XT and a home kit in my classroom-thick walls and windows

Your antenna needs to be facing southwest. Try to find a window in your classroom that faces that way. Another way around this if you don't have a southwest facing window is to get the XM repeater that will allow you to have the antenna in one room, and your receiver in another. I have two (one at home, and one in my store, and they work great).

Roady XT "Antenna" problem

one of 3 things, either your antenna is not insight of a skies view to receive the signal, or its wire is broken at the antenna, but if you remove the antenna connection frequently it pulls the center wire out of the connection on the end that fits into the radio when its plugged in push on the conductor at the back of the plug and see if this helps, alos if connection is loose take a safety pin and carefully between the outer plug case ans the ground fingers around the center pin push these in so you get a better ground, and lastly try another substitute antenna, I have re-soldered my connections numerous times to fix this issue, delphi doesn't make a very rugged product, good luck

My Delphi Roady XT will not maintain signal

if you plug and unplug your antenna connection to the receiver a lot it loses the ground(shielded) line connection, if your lucky you can take a safety pin and CAREFULLY bend the radios 4 outer shell antenna contacts inward to make contact with the antenna connector, if its the plug on the antenna, try pushing wire in toward plug connection to the radio...delphi never had much for life on any external products that fit their XM radios but when you need repl parts boy are they waiting for you, and they got them

My Delphi Roady XT receiver will not maintain the signal. Does not work even I replaced the antenna. Works for a about 5 minutes before losing the signal

I had the same problem with my xt two years ago. I had two other roadys' at the time and they both worked with that antenna so I called xm customer service explained what was happening and they sent me a new receiver for $10. They told me that those units aren't worth trying to repair. Maybe you'll have the same luck I did. Give em a shout. Good luck.

Great signal, so sound

My XM Boombox is also white and it is a Belkin. The folks at Delphi told me the receiver in the boombox is screwed up which over time also screws up the Delphi receiver. Belkin is sending me a new boombox and Delphi is sending me a new Roady XT.

"Antenna" Appears on Roady XT Display

I had the same problem, it says antenna when you turn it on. It seems that there is a small wire that stays in the radio side of the socket right in the middle of the socket. This fine wire breaks off . I think there is no known repair for this. I took a piece of fine wire from a wire brush, and poked it into the socket . Had to get one that was thick enough to stay. Then I plugged the antenna into it, it worked.

Roady XT periodic errors

The pins get easily damaged when switching from the car dock to the Belkin boom box. I have to constintly squeeze very ******* the top of the xt in order for it to make contact. Belkin will send you a plastic alignment fixture but it is too late. It still does the same thing.
