Have the batteries tested with a load tester. Usually when it starts to move slow it means the batteries are going.

I have a Taotao electric scooter not a mobility scooter the scooter is fully charged the lights and horn work fine but when you turn the throttle nothing happens it makes a kind of clicking sound

Not familiar with your particular scooter - but I am well versed with electricity. The issue you're seeing is likely a result of a poor connection somewhere. The amount of power (current in amps) required to operate the horn or lights is a small fraction of that needed to run the motor.

You should trace larger sized wires/cables from the motor back as far as you can - ideally to the battery if possible. Remove, thoroughly clean and reconnect each of these cables under each terminal screw - one at a time. This way you'll know any unconnected cable goes on the only terminal that is removed.

At this point, you should have 100% good connections for all high current loads - including the motor and will probably be able to use the scooter. Placing the battery on a slow trickle charger overnight will help ensure that the battery is fully charged - not just enough to operate the horn or lights.

Good luck!

The charger you are using might have a default in it because it is not working you can also try another charger or let it charge for a few days. I this does not work then there is probably something wrong with your scooter.

Battery .the charged light is on but no power

Ross I'm a little confused by your problem what charged light? Do you mean the battery level lights are all lit and it won't move. Or is the charger light on the charger and it won't move?
If you have charged the scooter and the battery lights show full charge then check to make sure that you are not in freewheel. If you are not in freewheel then the problem could be the throttlepot or speed control pot or the cable running to the rear from the console. It is difficult to tell you exactly what the problem is because it could be one or multiple problems. I suggest you contact your provider (where you got the scooter) and see if they can check it for you. Now if Medicare purchased your scooter for you you can call a service company to get it repaired. Repair Xpress @ 1-877-581-3733 or Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 hope this helps Sorry I couldn't give you a definite fix

Scooter dash lights flash up and down .were normaly they come on and stay at top .they just constantly run up and down ..batteries show on charger in boot .that its fully charged

Hi. Some scooters will show a pattern like this while the charger is operating, but when the charger is turned off it should stop. Some internal chargers have a relay that is activated while the charger is on to disable the scooter. Does the scooter operate properly after the charger is turned off? If not, then unplug the charger where it connects to the batteries inside the scooter and see if this helps. If this helps, you might need a new charger.
Good luck. Neil.

Razor e200 runs slow

This could be a sign of a dying battery, although it charges and lights the green light it cannot maintain enough juice to power the machine when it has weight on it.
