How do I fix "there was an error running scripts on this page"

Last week I started having a problem with WhiteSmoke. I don't know how it got on my comp but I finally was able to get Yahoo back as my home page. Haven't been on the comp until today and now I am getting this message constantly "there was an error running scripts on this page do you want to continue running scripts on this page" and there is a yes and no box which I have to click several times before it goes away. How can I get rid of this problem and what is causing it in the first place. Thank you.

Click "Custom Level" button.
Scroll down to "Script ActiveX.controls marked safe for scripting"- enable
Scroll down to "Scripting - Active scripting" - enable

Have 1998 toyota camry LE 3.0 5 cylinder. Has been running rough for about 2 weeks. Check engine light came on. Test said spack issue on cylinder 5, Had this problem once and was coil pack. could it be the...

A fuel filter would not have an effect on one cylinder
& you know how long it was in the car
It could be there 3 to 5 years & be just fine

Don't assume that a code last time that pointed you to a bad
coil will happen that way again.

Codes don't really tell you to change anything
You could have a code for #5 & walk a new coil for 4 cyl's
until you get to # 6 now you found the bad one.

You have several coil packs that feed more than one
plug, you have more to consider

I approach this the way I am, as you most likely
can not test anything, because you lack the proper
equipment ,so you have to do things the hard or longer
way of trial & error. Just don't throw money & parts at
it in doing so

I keep getting 'SCRPT' Errors on some websites and I am warned that if I continue running the script my computer will stop-& stops.

Hi

You don't say which operating system or which browser you use, so my advice can only be general rather than specific.

This seems to be a browser settings issue.

Open your browser > Tools > (Internet) Options > Advanced > tick Disable Script Debugging (for your particular browser type) > untick Display Notofication for Every Script Error > Apply > OK

I hope this helps.

You may not have Internet Explorer as your default browser but it is coded with Yahoo Messenger
For this reason you must keep it up to date and the support software as well. You do not have to set it as default but you need to keep itclean.

I cannot connect to whitesmoke.com, and it shows that server not found error. So, I contacted support, and I hav did all the steps, but still I'm not able to connect. I turned my windows firewall off,...

If you are able to connect to other websites there is a most likely a problem with their sever. It is very unlikely that you need to turn windows firewall off. This is also dangerous. I would suggest turning it back on and trying to connect to the website from a search engine, i.e yahoo or google.

The battery & brake light keep coming on in my 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Spout SUV. Had the alternator replaced and within a week it started up again. They replaced the alternator again, it has been...

Check system for shorts. I have a 02 Sport that I am on my 6th alternator since last November, 2010. The last time, my car broke down outside of Natchez and I had a shade tree mechanic work on the car. He found several corroded & frayed ground wire connections. I don't know if this will solve my problem, but it's probably worth the check.

First let me explain. Each browser handles scripts (the stuff that make up web pages and stuff) differently. You have Notify Me of Script Errors turned "ON" on your computer, so you will be notified of every error or warning - even if it works fine.

FIX: To fix this, Go to your Control Panel (START > Control Panel) and, in Classic View (you can find that on the left panel), click Internet Options. In the tabs on the top, click "Advanced", and then find the category "Browsing". CHECK "Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer), and "Disable Script Debugging (Other)". UNCHECK "Display a notification about every script error".

Click OK, and then messenger should work fine. If it does it again, restart your computer, then it will work fine.
